| In recent years, human error caused by the negative impact of job burnout and its assimilation has become one of the hotspot of occupational health psychology. The aviation safety personnel with a special work nature in the service industry is an important defender of cabin safety and plays a vital role in flight safety.Relevant studies show that aviation safety personnel faces double pressure from the job itself and the service object(the former, such as the need to prevent and stop hijacking, bombing and other illegal interference behavior, closed cabin working environment, shift duty system, the particularity of working hours, etc.;the latter, such as passengers’ fussy service work, lack of respect, etc.)are the characteristic factors that easily lead to job burnout, and directly affect their mental health. If they are in a mental state of job burnout for a long time, they will not only experience symptoms such as anxiety, irritability, insomnia, shortness of breath, but also a series of negative effects on the organization, such as job slack, fear of hardship, and inability to detect potential safety hazards in time. Therefore,in order to ensure cabin safety,it is of great importance to clarify the influencing factors and mechanism of job burnout of aviation security personnel, and then find appropriate intervention methods.Based on the Job Demand-Resource(JD-R)model,the dimension of job characteristics of aviation safety personnel through the existing results of relevant literature was analyzed.Specifically, the job demands of aviation safety personnel include work pressure and emotional needs; The aviation safety personnel’s job resources include career possibilities and job autonomy. Then introduced the work characteristics from the work aspect, psychological capital from the individual aspect, and organizational justice from the organization aspect, the concept model was built and the detailed hypotheses were proposed.Lastly, based on the effective questionnaire data of 267 aviation safety officers from 8 airlines,an empirical analysis has been made. The highlight of main conclusions are drawn as below:(1)Aviation safety personnel’s job requirements(including work stress and emotional needs)positively affect job burnout, and job resources(including career development possibilities and job autonomy)negatively affect job burnout.(2)Psychological capital can negatively affect the job burnout of aviation safety officers, and it also plays a part of the intermediary role between job resources and job burnout.(3)Organizational justice can negatively affect the job burnout of aviation safety officers. However, there is no mediating effect between work stress and job burnout.Based on the research results, suggestions on the management of job burnout intervention for aviation safety officers are put forward from the perspectives of job, individual and organization. The research has enriched the application scope of the JD-R model to a certain extent, revealed the cause mechanism of job burnout of aviation safety officers from multiple angles, and provided a basis for practically improving the occupational health of aviation safety officers. |
