Research On The Regionalization Of Rural Settlements And Dwellings In Southern Gansu Based On Cultural Geography

Gannan is located in the south of Gansu Province,including a city and seven counties.Gannan is located in the transition zone between the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and Loess Plateau;in terms of cultural location,Gannan is characterized by multi-ethnic culture.Under the unique substrate of Gannan,a rich cultural landscape of vernacular settlements and dwellings has been derived.Mainly focusing on the case from the perspective of architectural ontology,the current research focuses on interdisciplinary research from the perspective of the overall region,which is of great value and significance.From the perspective of cultural geography research,this paper takes rural settlements and dwellings in southern Gansu as the research object.Using quantitative research methods,this paper builds a geographic database of rural settlements and dwellings in Gannan with the help of Google Earth,Arc GIS,SPSS,and other technologies.Based on the database,the research is carried out according to the logic of "sorting out the spatial distribution pattern of cultural landscape features-delineating cultural areas-analyzing the factors influencing the formation of cultural landscape features".Firstly,the study conducted a territory-wide census of local settlements and dwellings in the Gannan region and finally identified 208 settlements as the research samples through field mapping research,literature collection,and satellite image analysis.According to the method of cultural geography,this paper takes the objective reflection of the characteristics of rural settlements and residential,cultural landscape as the basic criterion.This paper establishes a database of cultural factors of rural settlements and dwellings in southern Gansu,including 2 categories and 13 subcategories,which lays the foundation for presenting and interpreting local cultural landscapes.Secondly,through analyzing cultural factors the characteristics and distribution patterns of the cultural landscape of vernacular settlements are clarified.In the study of rural dwellings,this paper divides them into many cultural factors.Then,an in-depth study is conducted.Using SPSS software,the correlation between the cultural factors is further studied,and the spatial distribution characteristics of vernacular settlements and residential cultural landscapes are interpreted from multiple perspectives.Thirdly,according to the relevant concepts and methods of cultural zoning,the plane layout is selected as the dominant factor,and the settlement nationality and settlement landform are the auxiliary factors.Then,combined with the administrative divisions,seven rural settlements and residential and cultural areas in Gannan were delineated.This article is based on cultural areas.After explaining the cultural landscape characteristics in the cultural area in detail,this paper systematically presents the diversity of the rural settlements and residential,cultural landscapes in Gannan.Finally,the influencing factors on the formation of cultural landscape features in the cultural area of the Gannan region are studied in depth from two aspects,namely,the natural environment and the human environment.Among them,the natural environment includes topography,water system,climate,and other factors,while the human environment includes establishment history,population migration,religious culture,and military factors.
