With the development of China’s education,the renewal of educational ideas and the continuous reform of students’ training methods,more diversified use needs gradually appear in the campus.However,at present,a large number of middle school campuses are in the state of lack of architectural functions,which can not fully meet the needs of modern education mode.For most older campuses,there is not much space in the building for functional reorganization.Therefore,it is necessary to transform the traditional and formatted campus outdoor space to supplement the missing educational function.On the other hand,for cities,campus space is a very valuable public resource.Cities need this part of space to carry the function of public service.Appropriate campus open space can create a new relationship of "school community sharing" under certain conditions,so as to promote the harmonious coexistence between the school and the surrounding communities as urban public resources.Based on the above background,this study focuses on the renewal of the outdoor open space of the old middle school campus.Based on the relevant theories,the design research is carried out according to the use needs of many parties,so that the outdoor open space of the old middle school campus can be reborn.In the theoretical research stage,this paper analyzes from three aspects: the development of education stage,the physical and mental characteristics of users and the development of urban space,extracts the key elements of the renewal design of outdoor open space in middle school campus,and carries out the relevant theoretical research of urban renewal,so as to provide a theoretical basis for the follow-up design strategy.Based on the theoretical research in the second chapter,the third to fifth chapters explore the renewal design of the target space through three methods: questionnaire analysis,case comparative analysis and project empirical research.The first is to conduct a questionnaire survey,analyze the design elements of the outdoor open space extracted from the theoretical research,use the Delphi method combined with the analytic hierarchy process to construct the space evaluation system,objectively and scientifically evaluate the importance of the design elements in the renewal of the outdoor open space,so as to study the design strategies of the important design elements.Secondly,under the guidance of the evaluation system,through the analysis and summary of a large number of cases,the design strategy is deeply studied.The corresponding design methods are put forward from three aspects: spatial layout mode,environmental optimization mode and resource social sharing.Finally,explore the social sharing of outdoor open space resources,so that the campus space resources can meet the use needs of both the campus and the community,and reshape the harmonious relationship between the campus and the city.Finally,through the campus renewal project of Zhoujia campus of Dalian No.80 middle school,the application of design strategy and method in practice is verified.Through the flexible combination of design methods,we can basically deal with the relevant problems in the outdoor space reconstruction design of old campus,and provide solutions for such projects.
