With the diversification of educational concepts and modes,people's requirement for education have gradually developed into comprehensive requirements such as people-oriented,comprehensive development,individualization and openness.Primary school is an important beginning of education,and the initial impression of campus may directly affect the way of learning in the future.Although the extensive attention and popularization of education in the society has led to the renewal of primary school buildings and their increasing number day by day,most of the campus design is still dominated by teaching buildings and the mode is unitary,ignoring the overall campus atmosphere construction and the particularity of primary school students.In view of these problems,the author applies the concept of "behavior support" to the design of primary school outdoor space,and explores the needs of primary school outdoor space development in many aspects.Based on the theories of design,child psychology and behavioral psychology,this paper attempts to guide primary school students to move towards the independent interaction,active and rich outdoor space of primary school through design,which provides new ideas for the design of primary school space.The paper consists of the following aspects: the first part,the development of outdoor space design in primary schools at home and abroad is understood and the research contents and methods are preliminarily determined;the second part,the analysis of the related concepts of the research,a brief overview of the relevant theory of behavior support,and then the definition and development of outdoor space in primary schools,combined with the psychological needs and behavior support of primary school students in outdoor space;the third part,through the data research,sorts out the outdoor space design factors that may affect the students' behavior,then collects the data and analyzes according to the observation method and the sampling survey method,extracts the main design factors in the outdoor space of behavior support;the fourth part,using the case analysis,data analysis,research summary,puts forward the behavior support primary school;the fifth part,first of all,observe the students' behavior and collect the questionnaire,set the expected positive behavior,then combine the theory with practice,and use the principles and methods of summary to transform the outdoor space of Yong'an primary school in Wuhan.
