Today’s society is in an era of great development and transformation,and in the process of globalization,strengthening the ethnic cultivation of national cultural soft power has become an important element in the development of China’s comprehensive national power.A unified multi-ethnic country is the basic national condition of China,and the excellent traditional culture of each ethnic group has built the basic content of China’s cultural soft power.The traditional civilization of ethnic groups has developed up to now,and each traditional culture of ethnic groups condenses the long history and rich spiritual connotation of a region.Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region,inhabited by several ethnic minorities,contains rich traditional cultural resources of ethnic minorities,and the characteristic cultural activities among various ethnic groups are still widely appearing in people’s life at present,which is a good foundation and endogenous power for cultural construction in the new era.To realize the inheritance and development of minority cultures,it is necessary to build an innovative system so that traditional minority cultures can break through the traditional development mode and get inherited and developed by combining ethnic cultures with social development trends.With the rapid development and improvement of culture in China,the community has begun to focus on preschool education for children,so kindergartens and childcare centers have expanded significantly in response to social trends.Preschool education has a critical impact on a person’s life and largely determines the trajectory of growth.The culture and aesthetics exposed in early childhood will be with them throughout their lives,so it is crucial to educate children about traditional culture of ethnic minorities at an early stage.Digging deeper into the traditional culture of Guangxi ethnic minorities and extracting their patterns to be applied in the design of children’s education space can strengthen the cultivation of children’s traditional culture education and can guide Chinese youth to establish ethnic cultural confidence.The paper is divided into five parts in total: the first part briefly outlines the theoretical concepts of minority cultures and children’s educational spaces,analyzes the current state of research at home and abroad,and develops a research methodology.The second part explains and summarizes the relevant theories and excellent cases of children’s educational space,and provides a basic analysis overview of children’s needs and characteristics to provide a research basis for the later part.The third part gives a systematic overview of the traditional patterns of Guangxi ethnic minorities,analyzes the research on the places of origin,and draws out the current situation of its application and development in the field of environmental design.In the fourth part,the information reviewed is summarized,and the acceptance of Guangxi minority motifs by the audience is obtained through research and so on,and the feasibility of its application is fully analyzed.In the fifth part,we summarize the design application of Guangxi minority patterns and children’s education space design,and put forward the shortcomings and prospects.To sum up,this paper analyzes from the perspective of environmental education,takes the concept of environmental education as the basis of research,and takes the cultivation of children’s identification with the traditional culture of ethnic minorities as the main purpose to explain and demonstrate the practical significance of the application of traditional culture of Guangxi ethnic minorities in children’s education space.We analyze the possibility of combining the above two,and explore the important value of traditional minority culture for preschool children’s education.In a subtle way,we cultivate children’s sense of identity and aesthetic interest in traditional culture of ethnic minorities,so that traditional culture of ethnic minorities can accompany children’s growth and be inherited and carried forward.
