With the continuous promotion of infrastructure construction in China,there are more and more engineering projects in karst areas,and bored piles,as a form of pile foundation with strong adaptability,are widely used in engineering construction in karst areas.Due to the special geological situation in karst areas,the distribution of cavities in underground space is often irregular,which leads to the construction of bored piles in karst areas is very prone to leakage,jamming,collapse of holes and other sudden situations,which increases the difficulty of bored pile construction schedule control and cost management.This paper introduces the Z-number improved earned value method for cost control of bored pile construction in karst areas based on the characteristics of bored pile construction in karst areas and the full study of cost control methods at home and abroad.On the basis of a comprehensive investigation of bored piles in karst areas,their construction techniques and cost components,this paper combines the relevant theories of construction cost control,points out the shortcomings of the earned value method and explains the relevant contents of the Z-number improved earned value method,then takes a specific bored pile construction project in karst areas as the research object,introduces the overview of the project bored piles,analyses the current situation of cost control of the case project,and then discusses the feasibility and necessity of introducing the Z-number improved earned value method in project cost control.The feasibility and necessity of introducing the Z-number improved earned value method for project cost control are then discussed.According to the research needs of this paper,cost monitoring points are set up month by month,and then the Z-number improved earned value method is continuously calculated and analysed for the case project,and cost monitoring and deviation analysis are carried out month by month to achieve cost control.From the results of the case study,it can be concluded that the construction cost of bored piles in karst areas is not uncontrollable,and the Z-number method can be used to control the construction cost of bored piles in karst areas effectively.Finally,the article proposes construction cost control measures for bored piles in karst areas,which will serve as a practical guide for the construction cost management of similar projects in the future.
