Research On Narrative Design Of Underground Space Of Railway Station Based On Space Syntax

Facing the rapid development trend of urban aboveground space,the urban underground space around the rail station has become one of the new focuses of urban public space.However,the underground space of the railway station always has the problems of monotonous underground space environment and the separation between the underground space environment and the overall urban environment.Putting the concept of space narrative into the design of underground space can help users understand the meaning of space.This study attempts to explore how to effectively combine narrative design in the design of underground space,and analyze the possibility of combining spatial analysis methods to assist designers in the narrative design stage,so as to obtain a better effect of underground space design.This study takes the underground space of the railway station as the research object,combs the content,steps and expression methods of narrative design with case analysis,discusses how spatial syntax is used to assist spatial narrative design,and combs the application and operation of spatial syntax parameters required by the corresponding narrative design.First of all,it puts forward the constraints of narrative design for different types of railway stations,combs the steps of narrative design and the content involving the application of spatial syntactic parameters,and puts forward four types of expression methods of spatial narrative design.Secondly,the application part of spatial syntax involved in the narrative design steps is analyzed in detail to clarify the analysis model,analysis method,parameter data meaning of spatial syntax applied to narrative design,as well as the corresponding relationship between the result of syntactic parameters and narrative design steps.The correlation between the result of syntactic operation and the application of narrative design is demonstrated through case comparison.Finally,Taking Wuxi Sanyang Square Station as an example,the whole process of narrative design is practiced to verify the feasibility of applying spatial syntax to the narrative design of underground space.It is believed that under the condition of meeting the constraints of narrative conditions,spatial syntax can assist designers to carry out effective spatial narrative design in underground space.This study focuses on the design of underground space,and believes that the introduction of spatial narrative design method can affect the design of underground space.Therefore,the design of underground space is analyzed from the perspective of spatial narrative design.Through combing the content,conditions,steps and expression methods of the narrative design of the underground space of the railway station,the research finds the differences between the narrative design of space and other design methods.At the level of design content,spatial narrative emphasizes guiding users to perceive spatial places through hints,metaphors and other ways;At the level of design steps,spatial narrative pays attention to the relationship between narrative elements and space,which shows that narrative design needs to analyze space,and the introduction of spatial syntax analysis method is feasible;In terms of design conditions,narrative design has certain applicable conditions in underground space design,and not all underground spaces are suitable for narrative design.By summarizing the analysis model,parameter data,operation flow,translation operation diagram information method,and the corresponding relationship of operation results in the content of narrative design of spatial syntax applicable to the underground space design of the railway station,and combining with the example demonstration of narrative design of Sanyang square station,the research finds that spatial syntax analysis method can effectively combine narrative elements and space,and help connect scattered narrative elements and narrative space,Create space integrity and sense of place,and improve design efficiency and effect.However,there are certain limitations,which need to comprehensively consider the design requirements and the actual situation.The purpose of introducing spatial syntax is to explore the possibility and feasibility of applying spatial syntax as a kind of spatial analysis tool to the narrative design of underground space,which can not completely replace all steps of narrative design.
