The damage monitoring of nuclear fuel assemblies in pressure water-cooled reactors of nuclear power plants after irradiation is an effective means to effectively prevent nuclear safety risk accidents such as nuclear fuel rod fragmentation and radioactive fissile material leakage accidents in my country’s nuclear power plants.The main reasons for the damage of nuclear fuel rods are: a small number of nuclear fuel rods may be defective in the process of manufacturing and producing nuclear fuel rods;nuclear fuel assemblies are subjected to various stresses during the working process,such as thermal stress,tensile stress,vibration stress,etc.When the ultimate tensile strength is reached,the nuclear fuel will break and break.This topic starts from the hardware system automatic control and software system ultrasonic detection of the underwater nuclear fuel assembly damage ultrasonic detection system.The automatic control scheme of the detection system and the data interaction and processing of the software system after the nuclear fuel assembly damage ultrasonic detection are studied,and the simulation is carried out.The working conditions of nuclear fuel assembly damage detection at the nuclear power plant site were analyzed,and the ultrasonic detection system for nuclear fuel assembly damage was applied to the simulated AFA-3G assembly.The accuracy and stability of the application are verified by simulation experiments on both the software system and the hardware system of the nuclear fuel assembly damage ultrasonic detection system using the method of repeated detection.This paper mainly focuses on the software design and research of the ultrasonic detection system for the damage of underwater nuclear fuel assemblies.Aiming at the problems of data acquisition and data analysis and processing in the detection process,using LabVIEW and MATLAB mixed programming,the gray wolf algorithm was designed and improved,and an ultrasonic detection model was established to quickly obtain the damage index parameters of nuclear fuel rods.According to the ultrasonic inspection results(represented by waveform diagrams),the damage situation is analyzed,and the position of the damaged nuclear fuel rods in the assembly is specifically located.The research results show that the nuclear fuel assembly damage ultrasonic detection system proposed in this paper can meet the requirements of qualitative and localization detection of fuel assembly damage detection.
