With the increasing research on Intelligent ammunition,the missile borne millimeter wave detector for detecting targets has been greatly developed.At present,the test of millimeter wave detector often adopts the way of shooting in the field,which has the advantages of high overhead,long time and low efficiency.Under this situation,combined with scientific research projects,this paper studies and develops the performance test system of passive millimeter wave detector.Firstly,the basic principle of passive millimeter wave detector radiation measurement is analyzed;Various performance indexes of passive detectors are studied.On this basis,the performance of common passive detectors is mathematically analyzed,and the advantages and disadvantages between full power radiometer and Dicke radiometer are compared.Secondly,according to the specific indicators of the scientific research project,the system implementation scheme is given,which includes two modules: noise simulation unit and noise calibration unit.The equivalent mathematical model of signal transmission between the two modules is established,which provides a theoretical basis for subsequent testing.Thirdly,the hardware system of two modules is designed,including a noise simulation unit composed of 3mm noise source,amplifier and attenuator and a noise calibration unit composed of millimeter wave receiver;The control circuit and auxiliary circuit design of each module are analyzed in detail,including power supply design,ADC circuit design,network port circuit design,etc;The system software and host computer software are designed,and some measures used in the software design are explained to provide the reliability of communication.Fourthly,the performance test of the millimeter wave detector performance test system is completed,including sensitivity,stability and integration time.A compensation algorithm is proposed to improve the system performance.Finally,the debugging and testing of the test system are completed,and the measurement results are compared with the actual indicators.The results show that it meets the design expectations.
