A Study On The Design Strategy Of Ageing-Appropriate Design For Double Elderly Communities Under Embedded Aging Model

In the context of comprehensive promotion of new urbanization,along with the increasing severity of aging,how to effectively improve the living environment of the old community where the aging group lives has become an important issue of widespread concern,and the emerging embedded aging on the one hand is in line with the traditional concept of aging in China,on the other hand,its practice has been quite recognized in China.This paper takes Yangxin Road Street in the North District of Qingdao City as a design sample,and uses the embedded elderly care model as the basis to retrofit the public space of the community for aging,taking the elderly group in the community as the service target.The paper discusses how to solve the problems related to "ageing retrofitting,increasing community vitality and providing elderly services in double-aged communities" in the context of new urbanization,serious aging and deteriorating environment of old communities.On the one hand,the existing spatial resources,spatial forms and community road conditions of the community are investigated and analyzed,and the data are organized to provide design guidance for the aging-friendly renovation of Yangxin Road community;on the other hand,the aging population in the community is classified according to age,and the needs of the aging population with different degrees of aging are analyzed,and the conclusions are used as guidance for the subsequent design practice to enhance the feasibility of the design.This study aims to provide aging-appropriate spaces for aging groups and promote the systematization of elderly service facilities.In terms of aging-friendly public space,it integrates community space resources,renovates,constructs and demolishes them,and provides community residents with leisure plazas,social spaces,children’s activity facilities,community micro parks,corridor plazas and other composite functional places;while in terms of senior care service facilities,based on the embedded senior care model,it evaluates the status of idle buildings in the site and provides embedded senior care service stations for the elderly groups in the community,as well as senior care service points such as senior care cafeterias and reading rooms.In general,the ageing-friendly renewal of the existing double-aged community based on the embedded aging model should follow the topography of the community,the surrounding resources and the needs of the community residents,reasonably integrate the community space resources,put the ageing-friendly renewal of the community into practice,improve the community aging system,and form an ageing-friendly community that integrates community aging with the ageing-friendly environment.
