| In recent years, construction projects in China have been increasingly affected by uncertainty disturbances: project schedule delays, material supply shortages, and labor shortages; The impact of environmental policy adjustments and real estate market regulation on the implementation of construction projects;Frequent natural disasters, economic fluctuations caused by inflation and changes in interest rates, etc. In the face of this current situation, current research mostly focuses on the risk management and management of construction projects, while neglecting the capacity building of the construction project itself in terms of risk. Therefore, how to maintain a positive adaptive state in construction projects in extremely challenging environments is increasingly attracting scholars’ attention, and the concept of resilience has emerged. The concept of "organizational resilience" plays a crucial role in helping construction projects cope with uncertainty, improve resource allocation, resist risk shocks, survive in adversity, and achieve process reengineering.Domestic and foreign scholars have conducted a large amount of preliminary research on organizational resilience in construction projects, but on the one hand, the concept and connotation of organizational resilience in construction projects are still in a vague state, and there are multiple theoretical explanations for the research framework and mechanism. The influencing factors and measurement indicators have not been reasonably distinguished and lack specificity; On the other hand, there is a lack of actionable measurement systems and methods.(1)Literature review and theoretical analysis.Based on the literature review method, this study reviews the theoretical framework of organizational resilience, social capital theory, and hypernetwork theory, comprehensively sorts out the organizational hierarchy division of construction projects, the differentiation of social capital research dimensions, and the breakdown of the application paradigm of hypernetwork models, and discusses the compatibility of the three as research subjects, theoretical basis, and methodological tools, providing a research and analysis framework for this study,To lay a foundation for further research.(2)Selection of indicators for measuring organizational resilience of construction projects in China.A corpus analysis was conducted on the 27 finalized literature using the System Literature Review(SLR)method.Under the theoretical framework of social capital, combined with the perspective of network analysis,a three-level indicator measurement system for organizational resilience of construction projects has been determined.(3)Research on the impact mechanism and weight determination between construction project measurement indicators in China.Based on the structural equation model,a hypothetical model of the impact mechanism of organizational resilience on construction projects in China is established.Through analyzing the direct effects between various variables, explore the action paths of measurement indicators between different dimensions, and use path coefficients as measurement weights to ultimately form a measurement matrix for organizational resilience of construction projects, laying the foundation for subsequent case studies.(4)Research on network model construction of construction project organization.Based on the network model to establish measurement and analysis methods, this study establishes a two-level network of project participants, project team networks, and member team coupling in construction engineering project organizations through the investigation of project members and team relationships. It clarifies the calculation method of social capital indicators embedded in the network structure, and provides a feasible quantitative method for measuring organizational resilience in construction engineering projects.(5)Case empirical study.Through in-depth research and interviews with the interviewees,a hypernetwork model of three stages before, during, and after the occurrence of adversity is constructed, and the social capital of each stage is calculated.Combining the measurement matrix, the level of organizational resilience is calculated.A radar chart for measuring organizational resilience is formed to visually display the changes in organizational resilience of construction projects at different stages, providing a model reference for resilience governance strategies. The theoretical contribution of this study is to propose a measurement of organizational resilience in construction projects within the framework of social capital theory, providing a research framework for future research on organizational resilience management in construction projects;Developed an effective method for quantitatively measuring organizational resilience in construction projects, providing an objective measurement tool for subsequent research on organizational resilience in construction projects;Empirical research has further revealed the emergence process of organizational resilience, providing a supplement to the research on the micro mechanism of organizational resilience emergence. The practical significance of this study is to provide a new approach to the governance of construction projects, namely resilience governance.By observing the network structure of different stages of construction projects,it is helpful for practitioners to fully grasp the emergence process and stages of organizational resilience in construction projects.Based on the results of network measurement, targeted resilience improvement strategies can be formulated, thus responding to risks and adversity in a targeted and strategic manner. |
