With the booming industrial development in China,the impact on the existing centrifugal technology,in order to make the industrial use of centrifuges more extensive,there is an urgent need to improve the separation efficiency of centrifuge equipment,so the existing two-stage horizontal piston pusher centrifuge drum stages to upgrade the transformation.In this paper,a two-stage horizontal piston pusher centrifuge separation experiment was carried out to determine the main technical parameters of the three-stage horizontal piston pusher centrifuge on the basis of the main operating parameters of the equipment,without changing the original space position and overall dimensions.A three-stage horizontal piston pusher centrifuge model was established,discrete element numerical simulations were carried out and the range of technical parameters of the three-stage horizontal piston pusher centrifuge and the structural parameters of the first stage drum were optimised using the movement of the solid phase particles during the separation process.The main elements are as follows:(1)Analysis of the centrifuge structure and research methods research status,found that China at this stage is mainly using theoretical calculations and finite element simulation methods to analyze the centrifuge,but the solid-phase particles can not be better restored to the actual model when the study.The discrete element can be seen as a combination of solid phase particles as a unit block,and the simulation model is more accurate,so the discrete element method needs to be used to study the centrifuge.(2)The physical properties of the material particles were measured through particle size experiments to determine the experimental and simulated particle parameters of the two-stage horizontal piston pusher centrifuge.Ltd.double-stage horizontal piston pusher centrifuge for material centrifugation experiments,through the double-stage horizontal piston pusher centrifuge centrifugal mode of operation and the main technical parameters of the three-stage horizontal piston pusher centrifuge to determine the main technical parameters and three-dimensional modeling,using the discrete element method to simulate the three-stage horizontal piston pusher centrifuge,the simulation data will be extracted and analyzed to determine the appropriate three-stage The simulation data will be extracted and analysed to determine the initial operating parameters of the three-stage horizontal piston pusher centrifuge.(3)Study the factors affecting the separation efficiency of the three-stage horizontal piston pusher centrifuge and optimise the range of operating parameters for the three-stage horizontal piston pusher centrifuge by simulating the centrifugation process under different parameters such as material feed,drum speed and material particle size.Based on the particle accumulation phenomenon as a measure,and compared with the experimental working process of the two-stage horizontal piston pusher centrifuge,the relevant operating parameters of the three-stage horizontal piston pusher centrifuge were determined to be relatively better.(4)Analysis of the impact of the structural parameters of the three-stage horizontal piston pusher centrifuge on the separation of material particles.As the first stage drum in a horizontal centrifuge is most likely to form an arch and affect the separation efficiency of the centrifuge,discrete element simulation was used to study the effect of different lengths of the first stage drum on the separation efficiency of the three-stage horizontal piston pusher centrifuge and to determine the optimum length of the first stage drum and the optimum operating parameters for the three-stage horizontal piston pusher centrifuge at that length.
