Path Analysis Of The Impact Of Corporate Network Capability On Corporate Performance Under The General Contracting Model

With the intensification of competition in the construction market,competence and resources have become key factors in enhancing the performance of companies in the EPC mode.However,as far as practice is concerned,its development in the construction sector in China has been slow compared to its development in other areas and has still not been effectively promoted.The reasons for this are that construction and design enterprises are not capable enough after transforming to carry out general contracting business,and the accumulation of original resources of enterprises can hardly provide sustainable energy for development.From the perspective of social network,under the EPC mode,the enterprise itself is embedded in the dual network of enterprise level and project level,and must have the ability to develop and manage the external network and project network in order to activate and utilize the resources in the network,so the network capability as a higher-order dynamic capability is very important for the development of the current enterprises implementing the EPC mode.In addition,under the EPC mode,the project value creation method has been profoundly changed,and through the optimization of the project value chain in the traditional mode and the integration of all participants in the project implementation stage,the project value co-creation is realized through the full interaction between the general contractor and the owner,and the realization of the project value inevitably has an impact on the enterprise performance.Accordingly,taking " the impact of network capability on enterprise performance under the EPC model" as the main line of research,combined with the theoretical foundation of "enterprise capability-enterprise performance" and the elements of "resource integration" and "project value co-creation",the conceptual model of "network capability-resource integration/project value co-creation-enterprise performance" was constructed,and corresponding research hypotheses were put forward.After empirical analysis and testing,the relationship between network capability of enterprises under the EPC model and enterprise performance is proved,which mainly reflects that: first,network vision capability,network construction capability and project-level relationship management capability of enterprises under the EPC model have direct influence on enterprise performance;second,the mediating role of resource integration,network vision capability and network construction capability have an impact on enterprise performance;third,the relationship management capability influences enterprise performance through project value co-creation.And gained research insights: first,attach importance to the cultivation of network capability;second,establish the link of network capabilities and resource integration and project value co-creation;third,pay attention to resource integration at enterprise level and value co-creation at project level.In summary,this study explores the mechanism of network capability,resource integration,project value co-creation and enterprise performance,hoping to open the "black box" between EPC network capabilities and corporate performance.Although certain conclusions are obtained,the research still in the exploratory stage,and there are still limitations and shortcomings,which need further improvement in the follow-up research.
