Streets are closely related to the daily lives of urban residents.They are important public spaces in the city.As the outdoor activity venues most exposed to residents,the quality of street space has a direct impact on citizens’ travel activities.The design has produced many urban problems.Under the current development background of urban renewal and inventory optimization,people’s requirements for the quality of the living environment are constantly improving.”It must be vehicles,non-directional,pedestrian,and other different modes of transportation.It must become a living space for shopping,entertainment,and recreation.The improvement and optimization of street space quality is of great significance to the public health and well-being of citizens.How to effectively improve the quality of street space is currently a difficult problem faced by many large cities in China.Above,by conducting field research on the streets in the main urban area of Haikou,analyzing the citizens’ demand for the use of streets and the corresponding spatial elements,and constructing a set of evaluations based on a combination of subjective user evaluations and objective physical space elements Index system.From the five dimensions of traffic space,street greening,street facilities,hard pavement and buildings along the street,19 evaluation index elements,the advantages of comprehensive qualitative analysis and quantitative calculation,the problems existing in street space are studied.Using the AHP-fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method,9 streets were selected from the three street types of life streets,commercial streets,and traffic streets in the main urban area of Haikou for fuzzy comprehensive evaluation to verify the accuracy and practicability of the model.The results show that the spatial quality of the 9 streets are arranged in the following order: Yehai Avenue(3.0797)> Jinlong Road(2.8966)> Haidian Liudong Road(2.8303)> Yusha Road(2.6687)> Guomao Road(2.6396)> Longkunnan Road(2.5985)> Nanhai Avenue(2.5673)> Haidian Erdong Road(2.4778)> Haidian Sandong Road(2.4197).The spatial quality evaluation grades of Yehai Avenue,Jinlong Road,Haidian Liudong Road,Yusha Road,Guomao Road are average,and the spatial quality results of the four streets of Longkunnan Road,Nanhai Avenue,Haidian Erdong Road,and Haidian Sandong Road are poor.Taking the results of optimization and improvement of the space quality of Nanhai Avenue as a case practice,and guided by the results of the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation,the poor performance indicators and spatial elements were restructured.The evaluation results of the space quality of Nanhai Avenue show that its street space has better performance in terms of sidewalks,plant ornamental characteristics,plant color richness,plant configuration levels,plant shade,lighting facilities,landscape sketches,entertainment and leisure space,and commercial space indicators.difference.Research can help discover the problems of street space,and carry out targeted promotion and transformation,which has more practical significance for street renewal projects from a landscape perspective.
