| The urban street is an important part of a city,not only as a skeleton to organize urban space but also as a public space to accommodate public activities.Especially in the context of urban renewal,urban street space has increasingly become the focus of urban planning and the public.On the one hand,urban street construction in the process of accelerated urbanization is generally accompanied by the problem of low space quality.On the other hand,citizens’ pursuit of quality of life has improved their requirements for urban street space.The contradiction between the extensive construction of urban street space and the quality space demand of citizens has become the main concern faced by urban street space.The development of the data-augmented method has changed the dilemma of choosing between precision and scale.It is possible to coordinate the precise updating of urban street space on a large scale.However,the data-augmented method has interdisciplinary characteristics,which makes the technology application of existing research need to be deepened,the method application is concentrated in the early stage of planning,and does not give full play to the supporting role of data in planning and design.Therefore,it is of great practical significance to explore how to make full use of data-augmented methods to promote the effective improvement of urban street space quality.Against this background,a method for improving the quality of urban street space planning was constructed,including "street space quality evaluation,updating planning guidance based on space classification analysis,and updating timing based on importance judgment".Starting from the three links of status quo evaluation,updating planning,and management implementation,the data augment of the whole process of large-scale urban street space updating planning was realized,and the Shangcheng District of Hangzhou was taken as an example for demonstration.Among them,the status quo evaluation uses an efficient measurement of the street space quality based on the street view image,the updating planning is based on the multi-source data for the street space classification analysis,and the targeted update guidance is proposed according to the classification,the management implementation is based on the cellular signaling data to identify the importance of the street,and the street update timing is reasonably arranged.The main conclusions drawn from the study are as follows:(1)The effectiveness of dataaugmented methods for urban street space renewal planning: data augment promotes the unity of precision and scale in urban street space analysis,which can support the process of status evaluation,renewal planning,management and implementation of large-scale urban street space renewal planning,and effectively improve the quality of urban street space.(2)Quality evaluation and characterizations of urban street space: the quality of urban street space in Shangcheng District presents a pattern of "overall high in the south and low in the north,and with obvious local differences".The importance of streets presents a spatial distribution feature of "area clustering and point dispersion".According to the composition of street space elements,the urban street space in Shangcheng District can be divided into six categories,such as single functional streets.The elements that affect the quality from large to small are trees,the road width,the nearline rate,sidewalks,walls along the street,the degree of functional mixing,the building setback distance,the building height,and the H/D ratio.According to the spatial structure of urban streets,9 kinds of high-quality street space forms and 10 kinds of low-quality street space forms in the Shangcheng District can be summarized.The typical characteristics of high-quality and lowquality streets can be compared.(3)Feasible countermeasures for urban street space renewal:according to the principles of problem orientation and classification and overall planning,the paper puts forward two aspects of renewal planning guidelines and suggested renewal timing for low-quality street space in the Shangcheng District.Among them,the updated planning guidelines propose two levels of targeted classified planning and design strategies.It is suggested that the updating sequence should combine the implementation characteristics of the updating work,make short-term,medium-term,and long-term arrangements based on importance judgment,and propose three transformation modes to implement management.The research fully played the role of multi-source data in the evaluation of the status quo of urban street space,updating planning and management implementation,and provided technical method support and practical reference for the updating planning and quality improvement of urban street space in China. |
