The pace of urbanization in China has been accelerating. From 2000 to 2010,the number of natural villages in China has decreased from 3.63 million to 2.71 million. At the same time, the national level has carried out the protection of natural and ancient villages.Since 2012,a total of 8171 villages in six batches have been included in the "List of Traditional Chinese Villages".In recent years, research and learning practice activities in primary and secondary schools have flourished throughout the country, and the construction of research and learning bases(camps)has also been launched throughout the country. The construction of bases has been based on traditional museums, mature scenic spots, large factories, and brand new industries and scenes. The planning and design of research and learning bases have become a new field of environmental art design. This project is based on the research and practice of designing research and learning bases in traditional villages.Through a survey of the current construction of research and learning bases in traditional villages in China,it is found that most of the bases have problems such as non-standard design of educational function spaces, inconsistent construction styles and features between bases and traditional villages, incomplete security facilities, and unclear themes.Through in-depth research on the cultural value of traditional villages, the planning requirements and indicators of research and learning bases, and based on the principle of protecting traditional villages, this project carries out the design of thematic research and learning bases. The project takes the research and learning base of Chengyang Bazhai Scenic Area in Sanjiang Dong Autonomous County as a practical project, and the project owner is Guangxi Tourism Development Group. The author mainly participates in the design of the Dong Wooden Museum and its surrounding environment in the research and learning base.Through the overall planning of the research and learning base, based on the original residential buildings, the spatial reconstruction and transformation is carried out, making it the most culturally distinctive intangible cultural heritage museum and cultural clocking place in Chengyang Bazhai Scenic Area.At the same time,According to the standards and requirements for the construction of research and learning bases,a base that can meet the needs of primary and secondary school students for travel and research will be built. In close combination with the existing historical buildings, intangible cultural heritage workshops, and representative heritage groups in the scenic area,a large research and learning practice base will be built. The Dong Wood Architecture Museum will become a landmark place to learn and embody the national intangible cultural heritage-Dong Wood Architecture construction skills, and a scientific and standardized layout of various facilities and equipment in the research and learning base will be designed,Ensure the life safety of tourists and primary and secondary school students, continuously improve software construction and curriculum development, give consideration to both internal and external aspects, and combine virtual and practical aspects to create a professional, branded, and characteristic intangible cultural heritage inheritance and research base.Through the research and practice of this project, summarize the experience and methods of spatial design for research and learning bases based on traditional villages.Firstly,it is necessary to deeply study the historical and cultural values of this traditional village, and study the structure, construction techniques, appearance, and related customs of ancient buildings in order to achieve effective protection and inheritance; The second is to deeply study the current relevant construction norms and technical indicators of the research and learning base, and grasp these norms in spatial design; The third is to use flexible spatial design methods and multiple media applications to highlight the theme of intangible cultural heritage, and achieve multiple functions such as display,teaching,hands-on experience, and sales. This project can provide a set of scientific and standardized design models that adapt to the integrated development of culture and tourism, and give full play to the advantages of local resources, providing experience for many traditional villages in China to carry out research and learning base construction, and assisting in rural revitalization.
