Lean Thinking Based Development Of ERP System For Small And Medium-sized Precision Casting Enterprise

Enterprise Resource Planning(ERP),as an enterprise management method that organically combines modern management ideas with information technology,is being favored by more and more small and medium-sized enterprises.The main business of a small and medium-sized precision parts casting company in Dalian is foreign trade orders for single-piece and small-batch customized production.Its original ERP system has been re-developed to achieve the goal of improving the corporate management model and further enhancing the benefits.Based on the basic principles of ERP and lean thoughts,author adopts the system development method that combines the prototype modeling method and the life cycle method to develop the system.Combined with enterprise research,fishbone diagrams are used to analyze the problems of the original system in terms of business functions,data storage,human-machine interface,and operating speed,a system development strategy based on lean thinking is proposed.Based on the analysis of the company’s organizational structure,business processes,system functional requirements and non-functional requirements,some business processes of the company have been improved.According to the characteristics of the enterprise,the C/S system structure is adopted to design and develop the system.Draw the overall E-R diagram of the database based on the business logic relationship between each department,author has designed more than 200 database forms corresponding to different functional modules,which are related to each other according to the fields to form the overall structure of the system database.The software database was built using SQL Server 2017.The ERP business management system was designed with 7 functional modules including system management,sales management,technical management,production management,quality management,procurement management,and warehouse management as well.By using VB.NET language,the software system was programed.Focus on the sales management module as a case to show the software interface layout and functional arrangement.For system testing,an interface checklist was designed to test the human-computer interaction of the system.The function test table was designed,the system use function test was completed.Currently,the system has passed the company’s acceptance and put into operation.Starting from the actual business needs of the enterprise,author designs and develops an ERP system that meets the needs of the enterprise business management,which has certain reference significance for the development of ERP system for a small and medium-sized enterprises.
