Research On Renewal Of Residential Historic Blocks Based On Community Construction

In the context of urban renewal,the revitalization of historic cultural districts plays a crucial role in the high-quality development of the city and the protection of historical and cultural heritage.Compared to general historical cultural districts,residential historical districts not only retain unique urban characteristics and historical cultural heritage but also house a large number of residents,embodying unique daily life and traditional customs,thus bearing a higher cultural and social value.However,the current renewal of these residential historical districts is often carried out in a "top-down" manner led by the government,neglecting the basic demands of local residents,leading to issues such as the decline of physical space,disorganized district renewal,and the loss of regional culture.Community building emphasizes the principal status of community residents,promotes multi-party collaboration,and integrates resources from all aspects,carrying out the creation in social life,community management,and physical space,ultimately achieving long-term community governance and vitality regeneration.This article,based on the theory and methods of community building,studies the principles,current situation,mechanisms,framework,and countermeasures of the renewal of residential historical districts.Taking the Huifang Learning Lane District as an example,it attempts to propose a path for the renewal and governance of residential historical districts based on community building.This paper is divided into three parts.The first part is the introduction,which elaborates the research background,purpose,and significance of this paper,reviews relevant research on community building,historical district protection and renewal,and Xi’an Hui Fang district,and proposes the research framework of this paper.The second part first studies the relevant basic theories and basic characteristics of community building and residential districts respectively,and on this basis,attempts to construct an implementation mechanism for the renewal of residential historical districts based on community building.The third part is based on the renewal implementation mechanism mentioned above.Taking Hui Fang Learning Lane district as an example,it explores the specific content of community building,mainly divided into three stages:diagnostic assessment stage,renewal implementation stage,and maintenance and operation stage.The diagnostic assessment stage focuses on comprehensively exploring the physical and social environmental resources of Hui Fang Learning Lane district and summarizing real problems.The renewal implementation stage proposes renewal strategies from three dimensions: physical space,social level,and management system.The final operation and maintenance stage summarizes the key contents in the implementation and maintenance of the renewal project.
