Research On The Awakening Design Of The Residential Function Of Historic Blocks In The Stock Age

Currently,the state of urban development in China has undergone significant changes,from decades of rapid construction to a stage of stock transformation,and incremental expansion is no longer the only state of social development.The "stock" status is the new normal for our work.Along with the great construction,there is the loss and flow of population in the third and fourth tier cities and rural areas,and the memory of cities and people has also undergone corresponding changes.Historical blocks in cities have different dimensions of economic,social,and cultural values.How to activate and utilize historical blocks and continue the vitality of urban context and functions is a problem faced by many cities today.Qingdao is a typical historical and cultural city in China.The special historical period has created a large number of unique courtyard buildings,which have shaped the special urban spatial form and texture of Qingdao and are of great value.With the huge wave of urbanization,the expansion of urban area and population growth in Qingdao have also resulted in the shortage of public infrastructure in the old urban areas and the deterioration of the living space environment.In order to solve the above problems,the government carried out the transformation of shantytowns,which inevitably led to the migration and flow of indigenous people.Vacancies in the old urban areas have become a common phenomenon.The author takes the awakening of residential functions in Qingdao’s historical and cultural blocks as a starting point,and through field research and theoretical research,studies the design and operation strategies of integrating residential functions represented by youth apartments into historical and cultural blocks.So as to summarize and analyze the experience.Starting from the architectural ontology,establish the goals,principles,and techniques of residential function intervention design.Finally,the author selected the Changshan Road Block Practice Project,taking the type of buildings in Qingdao,represented by Changshan Road,that are used as an example for building renewal intermediaries to enter youth apartments in historical blocks,and awakening the residential function of the blocks as a context.Through case analysis,the author summarized applicable design principles and techniques,making a bit of academic exploration for seeking reasonable renewal practice methods for domestic historical blocks,It also provides the possibility of combining design methods with project practice.
