| China’s urban development is currently characterized by certain regional specialization.The technological relevance of industrial development has brought industrial agglomeration,which has prepared conditions for the creation of new technologies and has become a growth driver for technological progress and industrial development.At the same time,China’s development of strategic emerging industries has become an important part of the national strategy.Economic growth depends on the innovation capability of the economy,getting rid of the current technological predicament,and promoting the balance of regional development requires high-level development of strategic emerging industries.The relationship between regional specialization and the technology development of strategic emerging industries is gradually becomes a nonnegligible issue,so it is of great significance to study the relationship and influence mechanism between the two.This paper studies the relationship between regional specialization and national strategic emerging industries by using the urban development data of 261 cities from 2010 to 2019 to establish a multi-dimensional panel fixed effect model,and analyzes the relationship between regional specialization and strategic emerging industries through a mediating effect model.The impact mechanism of development,and put forward corresponding policies to promote the development of strategic emerging industries according to the research conclusions.The main research conclusions of this paper are as follows: First,regional specialization has a positive impact on strategic emerging industries.The higher the level of regional specialization in a region,the more innovative forces will be formed and the development of local strategic emerging industries will be promoted.Secondly,this paper believes that the higher the level of urban development and the higher the administrative level of the city,the more likely it is to obtain more policy support and the ability to implement policies,and the easier it is to build a good business environment.The promotion of the development of strategic emerging industries is stronger.At the same time,the higher the level of industrial agglomeration in a region,the stronger the driving force for innovation,which can help regional specialization to exert all its influence potential.In addition,this paper finds that the degree of influence of regional specialization on the development of strategic emerging industries is different in the eastern,central and western regions of China.The higher the degree of regional specialization in the western region,the stronger the impact of regional specialization on the development of emerging industries.Therefore,local governments should attach importance to the development of the regional specialization level in the region,support corresponding policies to support the development of industrial innovation and strategic emerging industries,and achieve high-quality development goals. |
