Study On The Symbolization Process Of Tourist Attraction In Red Cultural Theme Park

At the important juncture of the 100 th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China,red tourism has ushered in a new round of development,and has become an important first choice for domestic tourists to travel.At present,the development of red tourism scenic spots is faced with two major problems :(1)in terms of tourists,the red tourism consumption market is relatively single,which mainly focuses on the training and learning,reference and observation organized by enterprises and public institutions,and has a weak attraction to nonorganized mass tourists;(2)In the aspect of scenic spots,some red tourist spots have their own management problems,which can only guarantee self-sufficiency.Their unique public welfare determines that the scenic spots themselves are difficult to achieve high profits,and their hematopoietic function is weak.Red culture theme park is a kind of red tourist attraction,with special emphasis on revenue and profit.Therefore,this study takes the red culture theme park as the object of investigation to explore how the red culture theme park can attract tourists and how it can balance the entertainment required by tourists with the educational characteristics of red tourism.Based on symbolic interaction theory,this study uses grounded theory and content analysis to explore the symbolization process of tourist attraction in red culture theme parks,namely,the process of meaning construction and meaning transfer.This study follows three progressive research processes :(1)focus on the symbol production process of red tourist attraction from the object level,that is,how the producers construct and represent the symbols of red tourist attraction;(2)Explore the symbol reading of red tourist attraction from the subject level,that is,how tourists perceive symbols in the process of symbol system transmission of red tourist attraction and tourism experience;(3)Analyze tourists’ interpretation of the meaning of symbols and explore the role played by tourist attraction elements.Finally,combined with the above research conclusions,a symbolic process model of red tourist attraction under symbolic interaction theory is constructed.Study found that:(1)at the object level,producers of red tourist attraction production by referring to and signs of two parts,which refers to on behalf of the red culture connotation,according to the different methods of characterization of signifier into symbol,design,symbol and the symbol,to attach great importance to the role of experience function and promote cultural inheritance function;(2)At the subject level,tourists enter the tourism space constructed by the producer and read the symbols of tourist attraction.The symbol reading of tourist attraction is finally manifested in four categories of symbol reading: theme,atmosphere,authenticity and service.(3)At the level of interaction between host and guest,the representation of tourist attraction directly affects symbol reading,and the four categories of symbol reading generate tourism experience value(symbolic value,hedonic value and practical value).Among them,the symbolic value proves that the red culture theme park has the educational characteristics of red tourism and can strengthen the educational effect of red tourism.The hedonic value confirms that the red culture theme park can meet the entertainment needs of tourists.The shaping of tourism experience by the representation of tourist attraction will eventually affect the value of tourism experience through the reading of tourist symbols.In conclusion,the problems of this study have been solved.By symbolizing tourist attraction and endows them with the connotation of red culture,red culture theme parks innovate the communication mode of red culture,so as to attract tourists,and achieve a balance between the entertainment required by tourists and the educational characteristics of red tourism,and even strengthen the educational effect of red tourism.Finally,this study provides policy suggestions for producers to develop and manage red tourism :(1)pay attention to the development and management of symbols;(2)The meaning transmission between producers and tourists needs to maintain a positive interaction and enhance the experiential attributes of indicators;(3)Pay attention to the connotation mining and theme design of image symbols,and strengthen the tourist experience and good memory.
