| Benefited from the stimulus of national reform and opening-up,along with urbanization,China has became the world’s largest infrastructure construction market over the past 40 years,the construction industry has shown arapid development trend.At the same time,the competition within the industry is extremely fierce.In order to compete for market share,some construction enterprises adopt the way of credit sales to improve the business performance of enterprises.This also leads to the increasingly prominent problems in the management of accounts receivable of construction enterprises.The high amount of accounts receivable has occupied a large amount of available funds of enterprises,delayed the turnover speed of cash inflow and outflow,and seriously affected the economic benefits and development quality of enterprises.It is urgent to solve the development problems through effective management.Incorporating supply chain management theory,credit management theory,risk management theory and whole process management theory,this paper selected Z Company,a leading enterprise in the field of engineering design in the construction industry,as the case study subject.This paper examines how the company adopted loose credit policy and collection strategy in the process of production and operation,in attempts to maintain industry leading status and business growth.However,there are some problems in the process of accounts receivable management,such as the lack of client-side credit management system,improper management of self settlement right confirmation,weak cooperative collection organization at the supply side and so on,which lead to the increase of the scale of accounts receivable,the tension of operating cash flow,and the prominent contradiction of funds between enterprises.In order to effectively solve the problems of Z company,from the perspective of multi-directional coordination among downstream customers,core enterprises and upstream suppliers of the supply chain,this paper puts forward targeted optimization schemes and measures such as strengthening risk management awareness and improving internal management system,which helps Z company build a relatively perfect accounts receivable management system,and its accounts receivable scale and quality are significantly improved,The overall coordination ability of the supply chain has been greatly improved.The accounts receivable strategy based on supply chain perspective could provide better accounts receivable management ideas for construction enterprises.This model can integrate internal and external resources,opening advantages to the synergistic advantages of supply chain,improving the speed of cash flow,reducing financial costs of enterprises,and improving the overall competitiveness of construction enterprises,alongside their supply chains. |
