Research On The Construction Of Public Space Pocket Park In Old Communities In Harbin

Urban development has reached the point of "surging to the market",and urba n renewal has progressed from a "bulldozer-style" reconstruction approach to a mor e modest,progressive,communal-oriented renewal.Urban development has made th e alteration of public spaces in aged communities a significant factor.This research examines both theoretical and practical examples of public space transformation in aged urban areas,and examines the present predicaments in Xiangtai Garden Comm unity in Daowai District of Harbin City to investigate the need for constructing its pocket park.Researching Xiangtai Garden sites in depth,taking into account the sit e’s characteristics and the particular needs of various groups,leads to the formulatio n of construction strategies and design practices.To enhance the environmental loo k of old communities and offer outdoor leisure and entertainment opportunities for residents through convenient and adaptable pocket parks,this research is expected t o offer both theoretical and practical implications.construction and transformation o f pocket parks in old communities in Harbin.
