Since the 21st century, the explosive growth of container transport has been promoting the development of large-scale ships, which in turn has led to the vigorous development of the feeder container industry. For many years,Y Company has been operating China’s coastal feeder container transportation, providing collection and distribution services for mainline shipping companies. In the past two years, due to the rise of ship rent and fuel prices,as well as the frequent occurrence of emergencies such as epidemic, gale, fog and port congestion, the pressure on business has increased sharply. In view of the fact that the profit of the feeder container company consists of independent voyages,in order to alleviate the operational pressure,Y Company urgently needs to accurately analyze the operating costs and benefits of each voyage and develop scientific cost control and optimization strategiesThis paper uses the literature research method, based on the cost-benefit theory,to conduct a detailed analysis of the operation mode, cost composition and historical data of Y Company, and finds that the voyage operation of Y Company can be divided into three stages according to the time sequence and content, namely, the overall planning of ships before the voyage operation, the tracking and emergency treatment during the voyage implementation, and the accounting and analysis after the completion of the voyage. After sorting out the whole process of the voyage operation, this study believes that first,Y Company lacked the cost calculation and analysis of ship allocation before the voyage operation;Secondly, the process setting during the voyage implementation is unreasonable, which affects the effective emergency response;Third, after the completion of the voyage, there is no summary and analysis mechanism for cost-benefit accounting, and problems can not be found in time for feedback and improvement. In order to help Y Company effectively control the operation cost of the voyage and improve the income, based on the detailed analysis of the historical case data of Y Company, the optimization plan proposed in this study is as follows:First, establish the "ship calculation model" according to the model method,to help Y Company carry out rapid cost calculation and analysis before the voyage operation,so as to plan the ship allocation as a whole;Second, adjust the tracking and emergency handling process during the voyage implementation, improve the speed of data transmission, reduce the hidden loss caused by information delay, and reduce the handling cost of emergencies;Third, after the completion of the voyage,on the basis of cost-benefit accounting, establish a summary and analysis mechanism, assess the full load rate and the scheduled integrity rate, and formulate corresponding measures to improve the overall income. After the implementation of the optimization plan in Y Company, the cost calculation before the voyage operation makes the ship allocation more reliable and reduces a large amount of transport capacity waste; The information sharing during the voyage implementation avoids the storage and hoisting costs, and makes the response to emergencies more leisurely;Through the summary and analysis after the completion of the voyage,it is found that the loading rate and the scheduled integrity rate have an important impact on the revenue, which has greatly increased the revenue rate of the route. On the whole, the operating costs have been significantly reduced and the operating conditions have been improved day by day, achieving the goal of helping Y Company improve their viability and comprehensive competitiveness.
