In recent years,Western-style fast food has rapidly gained a significant position in the foodservice industry due to its convenience and speed.With the rapid development of Western-style fast food in China,related commercial foodservice equipment companies have also invested and grown in the country.As one of the certified suppliers for renowned brands like KFC and McDonald’s,M Company has experienced rapid growth in China as well.In the 21st century,business competition extends beyond internal management and encompasses complex supply chain competition.In the context of global economic integration,scientific and effective supplier management has become a primary task for every company.This study focuses on the improvement of supplier management in M Company.By examining the current state of supplier management in M Company and combining theory with practice,the study employs literature analysis,survey research,and brainstorming methods to conduct a root cause analysis of the issues in supplier development and evaluation,supplier classification and selection,and supplier performance management faced by M Company.The study identifies potential supplier resources and defines the scope of supplier development,designs improvement plans for supplier development and evaluation criteria,classifies suppliers using the Kraljic matrix model,and adopts different supplier selection strategies for different supplier tiers.Additionally,the study employs the Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP)to qualitatively and quantitatively evaluate supplier performance and establishes performance assessment methods for different time periods.Through these measures,effective strategies for improving supplier management in M Company are proposed.The study also verifies and provides safeguard measures in terms of supplier management systems,supplier management personnel,and incentives,aiming to enhance the overall supplier management capabilities of M Company and provide strong impetus for its rapid development.This research focuses on the improvement of supplier management in M Company,and its findings provide valuable guidance for enhancing supplier management capabilities and addressing issues in M Company.Furthermore,the research has relevance and potential insights for the supplier management of the catering equipment industry and similar enterprises.
