The rapid development of science and technology promotes the acceleration of product updating and upgrading,and dynamic market changes require shortening product development cycle as well as grasping product innovative orientation accurately.To carry out research on technology and method of product design and provide advanced design theories,methods and tools,have become an urgent requirement to accelerate the independent innovation of our country’s products as well as realize the new stage from technology following to technology leading.The core meaning of the existence of product is to meet the functional requirements of users,hence user requirements and user participation should be paid more emphasis in the process of product innovation design.However,in the current process of product design,user participation is mostly limited to the determination stage of design task.As a new method of product design,digital twin creates virtual models of products in virtual space by digitizing physical products,and realizes the interaction between physical and virtual products by means of data transmission technology,and then realizes the innovation design in the process of interactive iteration between physical and virtual products.Nevertheless,the process of product innovation design based on digital twin lacks specific methods.Flow function analysis is a method to analyze the realization process of product function from the three dimensions of material,energy and signal,and realize the improvement and innovation of product by improving the defects of flow.However,the transfer and transformation situation of flow between functional nodes cannot be described and represented quantitatively and explicitly in the current flow function model.In this paper,innovation design is oriented towards product progressiveness,and the research is conducted on the method of product innovation design based on user-driven digital twin combined with flow function analysis,In order to solve the problems of lack of specific design method support and direction guidance as well as low user participation in the process of digital twin-based product innovation design,so as to provide new thoughts and methods for the innovation design of products.Firstly,analyze the characteristic attributes of user requirements and study the user-driven mechanism in the process of product innovation design.Explore the relevance between user requirements and products,clarify the clustering and association methods of design information,and thus realize the compatible clustering of multi-level design variables from users to products.Based on the reverse fishbone diagram method,the functional decomposition of product is carried out,and the visual knowledge network framework of user requirements and product functional components is established.Specific methods for the construction and analysis of user requirement knowledge graph is proposed,and the constraint orientation of user requirement is established based on social network analysis,so that it can quickly focus on the key functional problems of products,and guides the direction of product innovation design.Secondly,the characteristics as well as migration and evolution mechanism of flows in product operation are analyzed,and the flows and their functions are classified according to the active state,which provide mathematical basis for the accurate construction of flow function model.The changes of flow attribute parameters in the realization process of flow function are revealed and represented,and the representation model of flow attribute information and flow function information are put forward,which explicitly expresses and quantifies the flow attribute information and its transitive relation between the product function nodes,realizing tracing and locating the implicit information in the process of flow function.Based on the dynamic and temporal nature of the flow,the construction method of flow function model is proposed,and the multi-basin function model is established to express the flow sequence,spatio-temporal topology as well as functional defects of the three-dimensional flows in each internal links of the product in a fine-grained manner.The behavioral principle and functional mechanism between the physical structure of product and flow transfer are further clarified.Based on the flow evolution path with high driving potential and low resistance,the defective flows are guided to improve and optimize,so as to expand the innovation solution space and innovation path.Finally,based on the typical characteristics of interactive mapping between physical and virtual domains in iterative innovation design of digital twin products,the composition of physical entity and virtual entity is expanded,and the innovation design framework of iterative mapping of design information between physical and virtual domains is proposed,which makes the connotation mechanism of innovation design of digital twin products transparent and the innovation design process normalized.Combined with the dynamic and temporal nature of flow function analysis,the innovation design framework of digital twin is integrated in virtual design domain,and a product design method of digital twin together with flow function analysis is proposed.Flow function modeling and analysis of products are carried out from the design source,with the forward solution and feedback correction mechanism of requirement entities being established to realize the effectiveness of digital twin-based innovation solution.On account of the above research,the product innovation design model of user-driven digital twin combined with flow function analysis is constructed,and the innovation design of no-tillage maize seeding monomer is taken as an instance to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.The research methods and results of this paper can provide new thoughts for the methods of product innovation design,provide new perspective for the implementation of digital twin technology,and also provide method support for the innovation design of enterprises.
