A Study Of The Construction Characteristics Of The Decorative Elements Of Traditional Regional Dwellings In Shanxi,with Reference To The Southeastern And Northern Regions Of Jin

With the development of urbanisation in China,there are many problems and challenges in the conservation and utilisation of traditional residential architecture,such as the loss of traditional building techniques and the loss of regional architectural art,while the economic and cultural development of contemporary China increasingly requires the discovery of traditional history and culture.Through the conservation of traditional dwelling construction techniques and the combing,summarising and analysing of the art of decorative components of dwellings,it is necessary to identify the common features of traditional dwelling architectural styles in Shanxi and to study their development and utilisation,so as to better promote the revitalisation and development of traditional villages and address the consequences of the hollowing out of traditional villages.The traditional dwellings of Shanxi have obvious regional characteristics,and the decorative elements are closely linked to the natural environment and the history and culture,reflecting the national character and political,economic and cultural conditions of a region.The decorative elements of Shanxi dwellings follow the principles of ’economy’ and’applicability’,and the layout of the village is in line with the ’unity of man and heaven’concept of survival,with the dwellings mostly built with locally sourced materials and following the natural The development of the village is in line with the "harmony of nature and man" concept of survival.The decorative elements of the dwellings in the northern part of Jin are more rugged and pay more attention to the principle of "applicability" of the buildings because they are located in the border area,the economy is more backward,the ecological environment is more harsh,and the buildings have the need to protect the wind and the sun,therefore the decorative elements are more rugged.The richness of natural resources such as forests and coal,and the development of the commercial economy,led to a greater number of decorative elements and richer carving subjects than in northern Jin.Through data analysis and finite element simulation,the development of decorative elements follows objective rules,and they all have a corresponding functional role,not only in terms of aesthetic value but also in terms of structural function,and they are also the maintenance elements of traditional Chinese residential buildings.In order to study the construction characteristics of decorative elements from a scientific point of view,the thesis is based on the study "Selection of Research Areas-Analysis of the Construction of Decorative Elements-Analysis of the Construction Characteristics of Decorative Elements in the Southeast Jin Region-Analysis of the Construction Characteristics of Decorative Elements in the Southeast Jin Region".-Analysis of the construction characteristics of decorative elements in northern Jin-Comparative analysis of the construction characteristics of regional decorative elements-Conservation and use of regional dwelling construction’,the research is divided into six The study is divided into six steps.The first step was to analyse the two main factors that influence the creation of decorative elements for traditional residential houses: natural environmental factors and socio-human economic factors,comparing and analysing the differences and links between the two factors in various regions of Shanxi,and selecting the key regions for the study: the south-eastern region of Jin and the northern region of Jin.The second step was to classify and study the decorative elements,dividing them into five categories: courtyard wall decorative elements,typical gate decorative elements,house roof decorative elements,wooden structure decorative elements and window and door decorative elements,and to analyse and summarise their decorative art,from which the functional,physical and evolutionary characteristics of the decorative elements were summarised.The third step is to analyse and study the data of the decorative elements in the southeast of Jin,based on SPSS analysis,to summarise the characteristics of the creation of the decorative elements of the residential houses in southeast Jin,which are mostly maintenance elements of the residential building structure and have a specific functional role.The fourth step is to study and analyse the decorative elements in northern Jinbei,based on finite element simulations,to summarise the characteristics of the creation of decorative elements in northern Jinbei dwellings,which pay more attention to the principle of the applicability of the house,and the decorative elements have a maintenance role for the main force-bearing elements of the structure,which have not only a decorative role but also a functional role.The fifth step is a comparative study of the architectural and decorative features of residential buildings in the south-eastern and northern regions of Jin,summarising the influence of the natural environment and historical and humanistic aspects on them,and the function of the decorative elements as maintenance elements of residential buildings,which are not only decorative but also have a practical and functional role.In the sixth step,the study identifies the current status and shortcomings of the development of traditional villages,and derives strategies for the conservation and use of traditional houses based on a summary of the characteristics of the creation of the decorative elements of the houses.
