Research Of Traditional Residential Architecture In North Shanxi Province

Among the traditional dwellings in our country,the traditional dwellings in Shanxi are one of the representative dwellings in the north of our country.Moreover,due to the large span of the northern and southern regions,natural conditions,history and culture,national customs and other aspects of Shanxi Province,the traditional residential buildings and their artistic forms and living space in Shanxi Province will also present different regional cultural characteristics.Shanxi North Shanxi has become an indispensable place for military strategists because of its important geographical position.It has gradually formed a border area of military defense,transportation routes inside and outside Guanneiguan,farming culture and nomadic culture.It has unique cultural attributes of frontier fortress.It has not only fortress settlements,Shanxi business courtyards,defensive courtyards,front and back courtyards,but also many exotic exquisite sculptures and gardens.Decoration,etc.,fully reflects the characteristics and flavor of the traditional dwellings in this area.By means of on-the-spot surveying and mapping,on-site shooting,documentary analysis and comparative analysis,and from the angles of natural conditions,military defense needs,settlement form,dwelling form,architectural layout and decorative style,this paper selected three typical traditions of Lujia Grand Courtyard in Dingxiang County,Xinzhou City,Shanyin County,Shuozhou City,Guangwu City and Datong County,Datong City.As the main case,the paper analyzed the spatial pattern,defensive structure and function realization of settlements in northern Shanxi,the road in settlements,the layout of residential groups and the characteristics of residential morphology,construction technology,decorative style and so on.Taking the traditional dwellings in northern Shanxi as the comparative object,and comparing with the other areas in Shanxi Province and the surrounding areas of Shanxi Province and the adjacent provinces and cities in northern Shaanxi,Guanzhong,Hexi and Central Plains,this paper studies and summarizes the distinctive features of the traditional dwellings in this area.After the analysis and study of the traditional residential buildings in northern Shanxi,this paper puts forward the development direction that can be applied to the traditional residential buildings,and designs the"Jinbei Folklore Museum" architecture and exhibition space in the northern Shanxi area.The purpose is to inherit and develop the cultural essence of the traditional residential buildings in northern Shanxi,and to provide some reference for the follow-up study of the traditional residential architectural art in northern Shanxi.
