As a working platform to ensure the safe and smooth construction process,scaffolding plays a vital role in building construction.Although the scaffolding market is now diversified and has a variety of different types of scaffolding,with the rapid development of the times,the current scaffolding market can no longer meet the needs of building industrialization.There is an urgent need for a new type of scaffolding with significant advantages in cost and construction efficiency.As a new type of scaffold,the main components of crab claw type steel pipe scaffold are transverse rod and end of transverse rod,vertical rod and connecting plate,and bolt.The connecting plate of the scaffold is in the shape of four ’ U ’,which is a quadruple U card.The connecting plate is connected with the end of the cross bar through a bolt,and the cross bar is connected with the diagonal bar through a diagonal bar pin shaft.The joint connection of the crab claw steel pipe scaffold has self-locking function,stable structure and reliable force transmission.In this thesis,the mechanical properties of the joints of this kind of scaffold are studied,including the vertical shear test on both sides of the connecting plate,the horizontal shear test on both sides of the connecting plate,the reverse vertical shear test on both sides of the connecting plate,the compressive test of the connecting plate and the shear test of the circumferential weld in the connecting plate.The vertical and lateral rotational stiffness and strength of the joints were obtained from the experimental data,and ultimate compressive capacity and shear capacity of connecting plates.The bending moment rotation curve is drawn by fitting the vertical shear test data and fitted as a function formula.The relationship between rotational stiffness and rotation angle is further obtained,which reflects the semi-rigidity of the joint,the nonlinear rotational stiffness of joints is preliminarily explored.At the same time,by using the refined finite element software ABAQUS for simulation analysis,a solid model is established to calculate the shear strength and stiffness.The results are compared with the experimental results to further verify its reliability.Then,the whole model of crab claw steel pipe scaffold is established,the stability bearing capacity is obtained by calculation,which is basically consistent with the model bearing capacity and test results,which proves the validity of the model.At the same time,the stability of the whole test is checked by various specifications and literature support.Finally,the influence of wall thickness and diameter on rotational stiffness and bearing capacity is analyzed.Lay the foundation for further research on crab claw steel pipe scaffold.
