In today’s world of increasing energy demand and extremely limited energy,it is an important task for social development to implement energy conservation, reduce energy consumption and even energy conversion, and promote ecological civilization. The energy consumption of living space is not only related to the building itself, but also closely related to the work and leisure habits of the occupants. The Jiaodong area is located in the hilly mountainous area, near the Bohai Sea and the Yellow Sea,forming a cultural environment characterized by mountain and sea culture. Therefore, the energy-saving technology applicable to other regions may not necessarily be applicable to the Jiaodong area.Further research is needed.Based on the climate characteristics of Yantai,a typical city in Jiaodong, this study uses questionnaires and software simulations to obtain basic patterns of occupant behavior in residential buildings, and analyzes air conditioning regulation behavior and window opening behavior in summer in the expectation of creating a more realistic indoor environment, and uses thermal environment management models to explore energy saving potential when analyzing energy consumption differences in residential buildings. The specific research papers and related findings are summarized as follows:First,a questionnaire survey on the behavior of residential building user groups in the Jiaodong area was conducted based on the DNAS survey method, and in-depth investigations were conducted on occupants, basic building conditions, summer air conditioning use behavior, window use behavior, and lighting equipment use behavior. We collected 1064 valid questionnaires to obtain the main lifestyles and behaviors of the occupants in the Jiaodong area, which laid the foundation for the subsequent behavior pattern identification and simulation.Secondly, the sensitivity analysis method was used to construct an energy use decision model of users under the same equipment conditions, calculate the users’ energy use behavior under the same equipment conditions, and based on this, evaluate the sensitivity of users’ energy use behavior under the same equipment conditions to building energy consumption, and then give the sensitivity degree of different influencing factors. At the same time, using the DOE experimental design method, the value of energy consumption per unit area of the building is taken as the response variable, and based on this, the energy consumption influence degree of six different influencing factors is determined, and the interaction of the influencing factors of the energy use behavior of occupants of residential buildings is explored. The degrees of influence of the six factors on the energy consumption per unit area of the building were,in order: air conditioning control mode, lighting control parameters, air conditioning set temperature, lighting power, building orientation and brightness. Finally, using a residential house in Yantai City as a case study, the energy consumption simulation was carried out using the human behavior energy-using behavior module of De ST software, and the energy-saving simulation of the indoor air conditioning system was carried out,and the difference in energy consumption of air conditioning in summer under different behavior modes was obtained, and the most energy-saving combination in summer was mode 12,i.e.window opening mode 4 + air conditioning mode III.Based on this, the energy saving control strategy analysis was carried out and recommendations were made.
