Study On The Design Of Vitality Promotion Of Waterfront Public Space Under Urban Renewal

Waterfront environment is one of the important social environments in the process of human survival,production and life.Waterfront public space for the citizens to provide close to the natural conditions,assume a unique urban function.With the rapid development of urban construction,the problems of emphasizing economy over ecology and emphasizing utilization over protection are widespread.The waterfront public space in the old city has gradually become a forgotten area in the city.It is supposed to be a place for public leisure activities for urban residents and tourists,an important space for improving the urban environment and enriching the spiritual needs of the people,but it can not bring its value into play.At the same time,the vitality of waterfront public space also helps to increase the urban resilience.This paper sums up the elements,types,features and functions of waterfront public space in Old City by summing up books,documents,theories and cases,and makes it clear that vitality consists of representational vitality and element vitality,it lays the foundation for the following vitality concrete analysis and the promotion strategy proposed.Taking the southeast section of Geum River waterfront public space in Chengdu Old City as an example,this paper investigates and studies the development of the waterfront public space in Chengdu Old City,and sums up the common problems existing in the waterfront public space in Chengdu Old City.The qualitative and quantitative methods were used in the research,and the relationship between vitality and time and space was analyzed through field observation,heat map and crowd activity.Analytic hierarchy process(AHP)was used to screen the influencing factors and their weights for the study on the vitality of the elements of waterfront public space in old cities,combined with post-occupancy evaluation(Poe)and semantic analysis method(SD),a basic evaluation system of waterfront public space in Old City was formed,make every effort to make the evaluation of vitality scientific and reasonable.The evaluation system was used to evaluate the vitality of waterfront public space in Chengdu Old City and to analyze the potential of different factors.Finally,combining the externalization of space use preference and the vitality of elements,the design principles and strategies of enhancing the vitality of waterfront public space in the old city are put forward,it is expected to provide reference for the waterfront public space reconstruction in the future urban renewal.
