| The development of intelligent products should bring convenience to the elderly, but it has brought new problems to them. This study starts from the physiological and psychological problems encountered by the elderly when using smart products, extracts user requirements using the AEIOU framework, conducts eye-tracking observation experiments on this basis, summarizes the design principles of aging-friendly control interface by combining the concept of aging-friendly design with sensory enhancement, proposes the design strategy of control interface according to the design principles and carries out design practice. The specific research contents are as follows:(1)Through literature research,we sorted out the viewpoints of aging-friendly design and the concept of sensory-enhanced design, and studied the sensory-enhanced aging-friendly design method. With the user’s operating experience and the difficulties of using intelligent products as the core, user research, behavioral observation and user interviews were conducted, and the AEIOU framework was used to analyze user needs and explore the sensory needs of the elderly in depth. We summarized that "Auxiliary reminders should be given before and after use","Reduce the waiting time for operation or enhance the interaction during the waiting time","Give simple prompts before use","Provide obvious voice or prompts before use",and "Provide a clear message to the elderly",The six core needs of the elderly are: "provide obvious voice or prompt sound","give feedback on each step to confirm the operation",and "amplify important information and use obvious color scheme and diagram".(2)The experiments on the influence of visual attention on the control behavior of the elderly proved that the elderly have a stronger demand for a clear and obvious control interface.Combined with the concept of sensory-enhanced aging-friendly design,we propose three levels of aging-friendly design principles of sensory enhancement, control behavior and user experience, and summarize the design strategies of smart product control interface.(3)Based on the sensory enhancement control requirements, the control interface of intelligent sports and recreation equipment is optimized in three aspects: visual, auditory and haptic, and the scheme is evaluated and verified through a multi-factor comprehensive evaluation method to complete the overall sensory enhancement and aging-friendly design practice of intelligent sports and recreation equipment. This study explores how to design the control interface of intelligent products suitable for the elderly.Taking the principles of aging-friendly sensory enhancement design as a guide and sports recreation equipment as an example,it provides theoretical basis and practical guidance for the aging-friendly design of smart product control interface, which helps to promote good interaction between smart products and the elderly and improve the quality of life and happiness of the elderly. |
