So to create a product to meet the needs of older persons is every designer’s responsibility.Perfect elderly product to fill vacancies of daily necessities, spiritual and cultural supplies and medical care facilities. Enriched the theory of elderly needs and promote the development of older products.The Products which against elderly characteristics are very few, So, to solve the livelihood problems of Elderly, to help improve the quality of life in old age, so that older people can get more social awareness and care, is conducive to their mental and physical health development.This paper start from the analysis of elderly, in-depth study of the relevant knowledge about sensory system. And thinking about the importance of vision, hearing, touch, taste, smell these five sense of the product in the elderly, studied the conditions of older people’s decision to select products. From the psychological characteristics, analyzes their psychological state and characteristics after into old age, according to the characteristics of different states to classify research solutions. Pointed out that the type and direction of product design for the elderly. Combined with investigation and study of existing older products, analysis product characteristics, provide more direction for elderly products in the future, to open up more space for elderly industrial development.
