Innovation is the driving force and source of economic and social development now.The establishment of innovation network can promote the flow of innovation resources and technology diffusion.therefore,innovation network has become an important direction for regional city innovation research.Hunan Province has innovation potential and is facing the opportunity of innovation development.Studying the evolution characteristics of its innovation network and the role of each node city in the network is important for implementing the development strategy of "three highs and four new",promoting the coordinated development of innovation in Chang-ZhuTan urban agglomeration,strengthening the construction of Hunan Province as an innovative province and helping it to become an important node in the double cycle strategy.Based on the evaluation results of innovation ability,the gravitational model is used to measure the change of urban innovation connection potential,so as to comprehensively analyze the evolution process and characteristics of urban innovation network in Hunan Province.This paper points out the problems existing in the development of innovation network in Hunan,and probes into the ideas and countermeasures of innovation development in the future.Research shows:(1)The innovation capacity of Hunan cities and states has been steadily improved,but the regional differences are stark,with the spatial "high in the east and low in the west",and Chang-Zhu-Tan is an important innovation development cluster.(2)In the provincial innovation network,the total external innovation potential of cities shows the Matthew effect,and the innovation linkage potential shows the "core-edge" structural pattern,and the linkage potential between Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan is the largest;The evolution paths of these innovation networks are similar.The network density increases and the connections are more closely connected.The high-intensity connections are all connected with Changsha City.Among them,the paper cooperation network is the most mature,and the patent cooperation and patent transfer network have not yet formed a close cooperative relationship,and Changsha is the only core in the patent cooperation and patent transfer network.In the three networks,Zhangjiajie City and Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture are located at the edge of the network.(3)The three inter-provincial innovation networks from 2010 to 2021 are gradually complicated.Although the network forms are different,there are always many single cooperative cities in the patent cooperation network,and the network presents an obvious radial shape,while the overall patent transfer and thesis cooperation show a star shape.However,they are most closely related to the Pearl River Delta,Yangtze River Delta,Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei,Chengdu-Chongqing urban agglomerations,and the high-intensity connection is mainly caused by the connection between Changsha,Xiangtan,Hengyang,and Zhuzhou with the above regions.Zhangjiajie and Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture are located at the edge of the network,with few inter-provincial cities and low intensity.(4)Hunan Province values access to external heterogeneous innovation resources.Changsha prefers innovation cooperation with cities outside the province.Although the preferred place for innovation cooperation of other cities in the province is mainly Changsha,the second and third connections are basically cities outside the province.(5)The problems of the current innovation network in Hunan Province are: Zhuzhou and Xiangtan have weak radiation-driving ability;the network hierarchy is imperfect,and there is a lack of semi-edge cities to undertake and transition innovation resources;the network stability is not enough and the tightness of the provincial innovation network links should be improved.
