With the development of society,people are more in pursuit of spiritual and cultural satisfaction while satisfying the material level,so there are various products in the market that focus on people’s spiritual and cultural needs,among which flower planting has healing effect and can relieve the pressure of modern young people and enrich people’s real life and spiritual world,so it is loved by young people.In the past,the packaging design of flower seeds was mostly designed for flower farmers and elderly people,but nowadays,the design of flower seed packaging is especially important in the face of new consumer groups.In this project,we designed a series of flower seed packaging for "Planet Flower and Plant",and studied the needs of young flower growers and explored new ways of flower seed packaging.First of all,we used literature research and case study method to understand the existing packaging in the market,and extensively consulted relevant information to investigate the existing brand packaging design in the market.On the basis of the survey,we understand the origin of flower cultivation and the current situation of the industry market,and find that the current flower seed packaging has serious homogenization,lacks creativity,and cannot meet the emotional needs of consumers.Secondly,analyze the brand positioning,study the consumer needs,determine the concept conveyed by the brand,and analyze the flower seed packaging from the perspective of emotional design.Again,the new trend of flower seed packaging design is studied from visual,functional and cultural aspects.The main features of flowers are extracted in visual effect,and emotional illustration design is carried out for the appearance features and connotation of flowers,using the current popular design language to realize the demand of visual beauty.Functionally,it solves the problems in the existing flower seed set packaging on the market,and by adding packaging functions,it gives additional value to the seed packaging design and realizes the multi-functionalization of the product packaging design.In the cultural level,the inner meaning of Chinese flower language is given in the packaging design to reflect the cultural value of the brand.Finally,through the practice of packaging design of flower seed products,the problems of flower seed packaging design in the current market will be improved to meet the needs of the current consumer groups at the spiritual level,and it is hoped that this research can provide new design ideas for other flower growing brands.
