| Public reading space is a necessary place to make people acquire knowledge and improve their own value,not only to meet the basic functional needs,but also to pay attention to people’s spiritual needs,correctly and quickly guide people’s healthy growth,and constantly improve the value of space use.First of all,this paper explores effective ways to engage more people in reading activities in interior environmental design through case studies and a multidisciplinary approach.This paper conducts theoretical research on public reading space and space atmosphere,and summarizes the components that promote the body to strongly feel the atmosphere as Spatial organization,decorative construction and natural elements,that is,the shape,quality,color,light,taste and sensory design of the space in which people live.Secondly,by analyzing different kinds of public reading space atmosphere,organizing the methods of creating public reading space atmosphere and find that some public reading spaces have problems such as over-reliance on artistic expression of indoor environment,excessive pursuit of sensory experience,serious homogenization of innovation,commercial nature than cultural nature,etc.The value of public reading spaces is to unconsciously integrate into reading situations,gain positive emotional experiences,strengthen the attractiveness of reading brands,and deeply promote cultural social activities.Finally,combining theory and practice,proposing innovative strategies based on the principles and development trends of public reading space atmosphere creation,and through the analysis and research of the actual project,the quality design of space,furniture and furnishings,the contextual design of light and shadow,the artistic design of color and material of interface and decoration,and the immersive perceptual interaction,present spaces that stimulate the audience’s willingness to read,soothe users’ emotions,strengthen brand characteristics,and enhance knowledge exchange. |
