Research On Rural Landscape Renovation Design Based On Narrative Montage

The countryside is an important inheritance and spiritual resting place of China’s excellent traditional civilisation,carrying the essence of our planting culture,and each village has developed a unique style because of different geographical environments,social and cultural patterns and other factors.The cultural memory of the countryside is a long period of time,and the material and immaterial wealth represented by vernacular traditions and village construction is an important vehicle for the development of rural society.In recent years,along with the country’s rapid economic and social development,the development of rural areas has presented both new opportunities and new problems,such as the alienation of the rural landscape,the lack of vitality in the countryside,the disappearance of scenes of everyday life from the past,etc.Therefore,it is of vital importance to avoid the disappearance of rural cultural memory,to stimulate the vitality of rural space and to enrich the form of rural space by improving the rural landscape.The narrative montage technique is able to transcend the limits of time and space,and has a very vivid narrative style and a rich infectious power.Based on the universality of narrative montage,this study aims to provide a new way of thinking and direction for the design of rural spaces that are full of emotional resonance and collective memory by applying it to rural landscape design.This thesis starts from the research on rural landscape improvement and narrative montage,and explores the connection between narrative montage and rural landscape improvement,then analyses and summarises the current dilemma of rural landscape through a combination of case studies and actual visits to villages,and understands the needs and goals of rural landscape improvement.The study is based on a narrative montage approach to the village,and the result is a strategy based on narrative montage to provide a possibility for the improvement of rural landscape.
