The illuminating flare complete the illumination of ground targets with the luminescent effect of the illuminant candle in the air.At present,the ratio of illuminant candle metal shell to illuminating composition mass has greater than 58.7% in illuminating munitions,and the excessive mass ratio limits the quality of illuminating composition in illuminant candle system.In order to overcome the defect of sodium salt illuminating composition yellow light color and further improve the overall luminous intensity of the illuminant candle,a new full combustible illuminant candle with doubledyed flame agent synergistic radiation to produce yellow light and illuminant candle shell combustible is designed.First,based on the theory of double-dyed flamer synergistic radiation,the illuminating composition formulation is designed with barium nitrate,strontium nitrate,magnesium powder,insect gum and polyvinyl chloride as the main components to achieve adjustable yellow light color and determine the best formulation of yellow light color close to the traditional sodium salt illuminating composition,and test the flame burning spectrum and luminous intensity of the illuminating composition;Second,based on DLP light-curing 3D printing technology for the design of the full combustible illuminant candle shell,so that the shell can burn and can provide a certain light intensity for the illuminant candle,and test the luminous properties,mechanical properties,compatibility and moisture absorption of the full combustible illuminant candle shell.The main research conclusions and innovations are as follows:(1)A new formulation of yellow light illuminating composition was designed.Based on the mechanism of double-dyed flame-agent synergistic radiation,the principle of red light and green light synergistic radiation to produce yellow light,barium nitrate and strontium nitrate as double-dyed flame-agent,by adjusting the ratio of the two,you can get different wavelengths and color purity of yellow light illuminating composition formulations.When the ratio of barium nitrate and strontium nitrate is 3.5:1~2.5:1,the wavelength can be adjusted in the range of 583.3 nm~591.3 nm,the color purity range is47.3%~79.0%,the flame color is from light yellow to dark yellow,and the luminous intensity range is 201571.62 cd~247893.18 cd.When the ratio of barium nitrate to strontium nitrate is 3:1,the formula is 40.5 % barium nitrate,13.5 % strontium nitrate,40 % magnesium powder,2 % shellac,4 % polyvinyl chloride,the wavelength is 587.5nm,the color purity is 74.1 %,the flame color is more suitable for human eye observation,the effect is closest to the color and color purity of the traditional sodium salt illuminating composition,the illuminating composition burning yellow light is produced by the red light and green light synergistic radiation,and strontium nitrate content on the yellow light color change plays a leading role.(2)A full combustible illuminant candle was designed,which consists of light-curing resin,modified magnesium powder,and sodium nitrate.Through single factor analysis and orthogonal experimental design,the optimal formulation of the energetic slurry for the illuminant candle shell is determined as 5.71 % EA,22.85 % PUA,15.24 % HDDA,3.81 % HPA,1.91 % TPO,0.48 % additives,9 % modified magnesium powder,and 41 %sodium nitrate.Based on this formulation,the illuminant candle shell was successfully printed using DLP light-curing 3D printing technology with a shell mass of 4.81 g and dimensions of Φ17 mm×15 mm.The performance test experimental results showed that the shell contained energetic slurry with good compatibility of each component.The burning time of the illuminant candle shell is 15 s,the spectral radiation peak is 595 nm,the light intensity can reach 17188.97 cd,and the color compatibility with the illuminating composition yellow light is high.The tensile strength of the shell specimen is 9.82 Mpa,and the compressive strength is 102.86 Mpa,with excellent mechanical properties.The shell moisture absorption rate is 0.44%,with good environmental adaptability.(3)The size of the full combustible illuminant candle is Φ17mm×15mm,the mass is 7.31 g,the burning speed is 1.01 mm/s,the total burning time is 15.2s,and the luminous intensity is 241833.88 cd,which meet the requirements of GJB 2871A-2020 Specification for illuminating flare for illuminant candle.
