Research On Optimization Strategy Of Nanchang Comprehensive Park Based On Recreation Opportunity Spectrum(ROS)

With the continuous advancement of urbanization,the growth rate of urban green space resources cannot keep up with the growing expectations of citizens for urban comprehensive parks.Based on the limited recreational resources,how to improve the recreational experience of recreation users has become the top priority to solve such constraints,so it is necessary to understand the recreation resources of urban comprehensive parks and the most intuitive experience needs of tourists,so as to clarify the focus of park management,construction and optimization.This study introduces the management framework that can scientifically alleviate the contradiction between recreation resources and recreation needs from the perspective of recreation experience,Recreation Opportunity Spectrum(ROS).Therefore,this study takes Nanchang as an example area,comprehensively understands the overall situation of Nanchang Urban Comprehensive Park,selects Nanchang People’s Park,Bayi Park and Libu Lake Park as the overall sample,takes People’s Park as the specific research object,and begins to conduct field visits and questionnaire surveys on the three parks in the second half of 2022,and comprehensively understands the existing recreation resources of the parks.Recreation experience: their recreation recommendations.Based on the spectrum of recreation opportunities and the "environment-activity-experience feedback" model,the difference between the total sample park and the people’s park in the park environment and activity indicators was evaluated,the influence of population characteristics on the preference of recreation activities was analyzed,and the index weight system of environmental factors and activity factors of People’s Park was established through principal component analysis.Based on the superposition and comparison of the level maps of the two recreation opportunities in an indirect way,supplemented by the questionnaire results for recreation experience in a direct way,the management and optimization strategies of the environment and activities of Nanchang Urban Comprehensive Park were determined taking each recreation area of People’s Park as an example.The conclusions of this study are mainly summarized as follows:(1)The three parks distributed 450 questionnaires for environmental and activity satisfaction,and 414 were recovered,including 141 in People’s Park.According to the results of the questionnaire,SPSS analysis was carried out,and 22 environmental factors and 19 activity factors were determined based on the condition of the park,and principal component analysis was carried out respectively to determine the weight of the index system.The similarities and differences between the total sample and the classification indexes,and the correlation characteristics between population characteristics and activity preferences between the total sample and People’s Park were compared,and it was verified that the construction of recreation opportunity spectrum with People’s Park was representative for studying the optimization strategy of Nanchang urban comprehensive park.(2)In order to score recreation opportunities more accurately,People’s Park is divided into seven recreation areas such as leisure lawn area.Twenty experts in related fields who are familiar with People’s Park were invited to score,and according to the scoring formula of recreation opportunities,five recreation areas of suitability level(low,low,medium,high and high)with environmental factors as the main body and five density level recreation areas with activity factors as the main body were established,and the two were superimposed and confirmed with each other,specifically 1 grade I,5 level II and 1 level III.Based on the perspective of recreation experience,the evaluation of environment and activities in this study is indirect,and in order to verify the rationality of indirectness,a questionnaire directly targeting recreation experience is specially designed to determine the direction of park management.(3)According to the classification of recreation opportunities in the seven recreation areas in the People’s Park and the research results,under the framework of the recreation opportunity spectrum,the optimization strategies of some urban comprehensive parks are scientifically and comprehensively proposed from the physical environment(plants,garden roads and paving,water bodies and buildings),social environment(spatial layout,accessibility)and management environment(system,guide explanation,daily maintenance,sanitation,other service facilities)under environmental resources,and the types and adaptability under activity resources.Enhance the recreation experience and recreational opportunities for tourists.This paper provides certain reference value for the localization of recreation opportunity spectrum,alleviates the contradiction between urban green space resources and recreation demand,and points out the direction for the sustainable management of parks,which has certain reference significance.
