Study On The Formation And Morphological Characteristics Of The Settlement Of Guoyu Ancient Castle

Traditional villages contain rich intangible and material cultural heritage,preserving people’s precious historical memories.With the changes of the times and the rapid development of the national economy,people’s yearning for urban life has led to various degrees of hollowing out in many traditional villages,accelerating the decline and extinction of traditional villages.As a special type of traditional village,folk castle has attracted more and more attention in recent years.Guoyu Ancient Fort is one of the typical representatives of folk ancient Fort.Due to the special geographical location and complex social environment,it has formed a unique style of fort village.By analyzing the formation reason,spatial morphological characteristics,and new development of Guoyu Ancient Castle in the context of rural revitalization,it is beneficial to better understand the development trends and future trends of the ancient castle,and provide reference for further research on the ancient castle in the future.The thesis takes Guoyu Ancient Castle as the research object.Firstly,by analyzing the natural environment and social background of Guoyu Ancient Castle,it explores the influencing factors of the formation of ancient castle settlements;Secondly,in terms of morphological characteristics,the buildings in the ancient castle are divided into three different types: defensive buildings,temple buildings,and private buildings,and their respective characteristics are elaborated.The overall layout of the ancient castle,as well as the characteristics of streets and residential spaces,are analyzed from a macro to micro perspective.Finally,by exploring the public and private space morphological characteristics of Guoyu Ancient Castle in the context of cultural and tourism integration and rural revitalization,analyzing its current problems and shortcomings,and proposing reasonable protection strategies such as increasing villagers’ participation,optimizing industrial structure,and deeply exploring local cultural connotations,in order to better protect such architectural heritage.
