Research On The Hall Design Of Tujia Ethnic Group In Western Hubei Based On Kanyu Technique

Kanyu is a survey method used by the ancients to examine and judge the environment.It is one of the cultural treasures that have been handed down in China for thousands of years.It guides environmental planning and measures the situation through the observation of residential terrain,environment,structure and sitting direction.In the long history of its spread,Kanyu has formed distinctive branches and schools in various regions of China,and made the design and construction of local traditional dwellings brilliant.The development of the Tujia ethnic group geomancy in western Hubei is deeply influenced by the Han culture.It links the connotation of the Tujia faith with the local laws of building houses,forming a unique living space.The application of Kanyu in the Tujia hall not only reflects the power distribution relationship of the local family,but also highlights the humanistic characteristics of geomancy,witchcraft and belief conversion in the Tujia folk customs,making the Tujia people’s residence more dynamic.However,the acceleration of urbanization and the rapid renewal of houses have led to the loss of the unique characteristics of the Tujia ethnic group houses in western Hubei,and the pattern of the house halls can not meet the original functional requirements,which has led to a series of transformation and reconstruction.At present,the research on Kanyu and Tujia ethnic group houses in western Hubei has not formed a design system of system theory,and local residents are easily misled by superstition.Through field investigation,literature review,case analysis and other methods,this paper discusses how Kanyu affects the interior style and spiritual connotation of traditional houses of Tujia ethnic group in western Hubei,studies how to inherit and optimize the form of Tujia ethnic group hall in western Hubei,analyzes the Tujia ethnic group hall affected by Kanyu from three aspects of plane,function and skill,and expounds the subjective and objective reasons leading to the change of spatial pattern,Based on the current situation of rural residential development,this paper puts forward innovative methods at three levels of spirit,technology and environment.This paper will focus on how Kanyu affects the design of the hall of traditional folk houses in the western part of Hubei Province,and discuss in detail its application cases in the design of the hall space of traditional folk houses.The design study takes Yin’s residential house in Hejiaping Changyang,Yichang as an example,and analyzes the feasibility of combining the Kanyu with the traditional residential hall design in western Hubei through the application of Kanyu in the interior space.It is expected that the combination of kanyu and design can better solve the existing problems such as lack of function,poor convenience of life,unreasonable use of space,blind superstition,etc.Through Kanyu,a new design method is provided for the layout of the hall,so that the residents can obtain more convenient and comfortable life experience,thus forming a specific design strategy for the hall space,and realizing the sustainable development of Tujia dwellings.
