In the field of manufacturing,production line balancing plays a crucial role.Production line balancing is based on the priority relationship of production operations,which rationally allocates various resources on the production line to balance the workload of various parts of the production line,thereby improving production efficiency.At present,company H is in a rapid development stage,with increasing customer demand and significantly insufficient existing capacity.Therefore,this article takes the A-type relay socket production line of H company as the research object.Aiming at the actual uneconomical,unreasonable,and unbalanced phenomena in the production line,it proposes a production line balance optimization scheme that combines industrial engineering methods,dual population genetic algorithms,and simulation technology,aiming at improving the production efficiency of the enterprise,reducing production costs,and enhancing the competitiveness of the enterprise.Firstly,based on the summary of domestic and foreign research on production line balancing optimization,the relevant theories and methods of production line balancing are elaborated.Secondly,by analyzing the current situation of the A-type relay socket production line of H company,a process flow chart was drawn and the process division was statistically analyzed.The standard operating time of each process was measured using the stopwatch method,and the balance rate of the production line was calculated to be only 49.68%,with a smoothing index of41.91.The production line simulation model was established using Flexsim software,and the operating status of each station was collected.It was concluded that the production line was extremely unbalanced at this time,requiring balance optimization of the production line.Thirdly,a preliminary improvement plan for the production line is proposed using the fishbone diagram analysis method.Utilizing "5W1H" questioning technology,"ECRS" principles,process analysis,man-machine operation analysis,and two-handed operation analysis to optimize the process flow and some processes of the production line.On this basis,a production line process allocation optimization model with maximum balance rate and minimum smoothing index is constructed,and dual population genetic algorithm is designed to solve the model.After verifying its effectiveness through an example,the algorithm is programmed using Matlab software to output the production line process allocation optimization scheme.Considering the consistency of actual production operations,manually adjust the algorithm solution results to determine the final optimization scheme.Finally,the optimized production line simulation model is established using Flexsim software,and the operation status of the production line before and after optimization is compared and analyzed from both production line balance evaluation indicators and simulation output indicators.The results show that after optimization,the total production time decreases from 721.1seconds to 601.7 seconds,and the production rhythm decreases from 76.4 seconds to 45.3 seconds.The number of production processes has changed from 69 to 56,a decrease of 13,a decrease of 4stations,and a decrease of 4 workers.The production line balance rate increased from 49.68% to88.55%,and the production line smoothness index decreased from 41.91 to 6.32.The average utilization rate of work stations increased from 49.03% to 87.61%,resulting in a 68.75% increase in production capacity and a certain improvement in economic efficiency.In summary,through the optimization of the A-type relay socket production line of H company,the working load of each station is more balanced,and the production line balance rate is significantly improved,achieving the goal of effectively improving production efficiency.This study provides a way for similar enterprises to solve problems such as low productivity and unbalanced production lines.
