Under the background of rural revitalization and future rural construction in Zhejiang Province, suburban villages,as the transition area between urban and rural areas and the primary area of urban-rural integration and rural revitalization, have become the testing ground for future rural construction.Qingshan Village, located in the suburbs of Yuhang District,Hangzhou City,Zhejiang Province,a typical "future rural experimental area",is selected as the research object in this study. This paper carries out a case study on the mode, process and results of rural space renewal under the "power participation" of new villagers,in order to explore the renewal strategy of public space in suburban villages focusing on the participation of new villagers, which provides ideas for the construction of the countryside in the future.Based on the characteristics of suburban villages and new villagers with urban attributes, this paper tries to use the theory and method of urban space research and investigates the updating process and results of 22 public Spaces in Qingshan Village where new villagers participated in the updating. From the perspective of power participation, this paper analyzes the mode of new villagers’ participation in space renewal. And according to the power degree of new villagers and government in deciding plans and projects, five modes can be summarized: "new villager dominance-higher degree of government participation","new villager dominance-lower degree of government participation","government dominance-higher degree of new villagers participation","government dominance-lower degree of new villagers participation" and "new villager and government collaborative participation".Furthermore, the paper puts forward the spatial analysis of the updated results based on the measure of "spatial fuzziness".The diachronic and synchronic properties of behavioral aggregation were analyzed through quantitative investigation of behavioral aggregation attributes,so as to evaluate the updating results.Based on the evaluation results,I analyzed the participation model of spatial fuzzyoriented. The results show that:(1)The spatial fuzziness of the update results is similar to the same participation mode, but the spatial fuzziness of the update results is different from different participation modes.(2)The spatial fuzziness of the updated results of different levels of public participation shows a certain pattern.Within a certain range, the spatial fuzziness increases to the peak value with the increase of the level of participation but decreases when the level of participation continues to increase.(3)There are single or multiple participation modes in the same spatial type of renewal projects, and the spatial fuzziness of different spatial types of renewal results is different to a certain extent. Finally, aiming at the organization of spatial renewal in suburban villages, the paper proposes organizational guidance that scientifically guides new villagers to participate.Aiming at the spatial livable characteristics of suburban villages, this paper constructs the design element base of rural fuzzy space and puts forward the strategy of using corresponding modes and selecting corresponding design elements for different spatial types. This paper provides theoretical support and a design basis for the spatial renewal of suburban villages focusing on the participation of new villagers.
