Research On The Interaction Between Shenzhen Port International Competitiveness And Hinterland Economy

Under the background of the continuous advancement of China ’s internationalization process,coastal ports,as an important hub for goods trade between countries,play a very important role in international trade activities.The improvement of the international competitiveness of the port has a certain role in promoting the import and export of goods and related industries in the hinterland.The economic growth of the hinterland also provides the necessary conditions for port construction.Therefore,the port is the growth point of the hinterland economic development,and the hinterland economy also creates conditions for the port development.As a worldclass container hub port,Shenzhen port is the central port in southern China.The improvement of its international competitiveness plays an important role in the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area combination system.Promoting the benign interaction between the international competitiveness of Shenzhen port and the economic development of the hinterland is of great significance to the improvement of Shenzhen port strength and the sustainable economic development of Shenzhen.Based on the theoretical basis of the internal relationship between Shenzhen port and hinterland economy,this paper selects the data of Shenzhen port international competitiveness and hinterland economic development index from 1994 to 2020 as a sample.Based on the analysis of the current situation of Shenzhen port and hinterland economic development,the grey correlation model is used to explore the internal correlation factors between Shenzhen port international competitiveness and hinterland economic development.The index system is constructed,and the international competitiveness subsystem of Shenzhen port is measured by the four dimensions of port supply capacity,demand capacity,international development potential and international participation,and the hinterland economy subsystem of Shenzhen port is measured by the four dimensions of economic structure,regional trade,regional investment and economic aggregate.The coupling coordination model is constructed.The coordinated development status and trend of the two are explored,and the relationship between the international competitiveness of Shenzhen port and the economic development of the hinterland is further verified by VAR model and Granger causality test.The research results show that there is a strong internal correlation between the international competitiveness of Shenzhen port and the economic development of the hinterland.From the overall perspective,the coordinated development degree of the two is on the rise within the research time range.By 2020,it will reach the stage of high-quality coordinated development.There is a long-term equilibrium relationship between the evaluation score of Shenzhen port international competitiveness and the GDP of the hinterland,and the economic development of the hinterland has a significant role in promoting the international competitiveness of the port.Finally,according to the empirical results,the paper puts forward some concrete suggestions to promote the coordinated and sustainable development of Shenzhen port international competitiveness and hinterland economic development,and provides some reference value for the current development of Shenzhen.
