Research On College Students’ Leisure Travel Behavior Based On TPB-HBM Theory

Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 epidemic in 2019,all localities have entered the stage of regular prevention and control of the COVID-19 epidemic and persistent epidemic resistance,and the leisure travel of college students has been seriously affected.The combination of planned behavior theory(TPB)and health belief model(HBM)takes into account not only the impact of behavior on emotion,the perception of risk,but also the impact of external factors on behavior,so it is suitable to construct the theoretical basis of leisure travel under the normalization of COVID-19 epidemic.This paper investigates the leisure travel behavior of college students in Dalian and uses structural equation model to construct a comprehensive model based on the combination of TPB and HBM theory.To explore the interaction and mechanism of influencing factors between TPB and HBM models,and to compare the differences between independent models and comprehensive models.The main conclusions of this paper are as follows:(1)The comprehensive model(TPB-HBM-P)based on the combination of TPB and HBM theory defines the leisure travel decision-making mechanism of college students more clearly than the independent model(HBM,TPB).It can explain the leisure travel behavior of college students from many aspects and levels,better capture the influencing factors of college students’ leisure travel,and explore the impact of preventive behavior and vaccine policy on leisure travel and travel intention.In the comprehensive model,preventive behavior has the greatest impact on leisure travel,followed by travel willingness and vaccine policy,behavioral benefit perception is the greatest impact on travel intention,followed by subjective norms and travel attitude.(2)The comprehensive model(TPB-HBM)defines the decision-making mechanism of college students’ leisure travel more clearly than the independent model(HBM,TPB).TPBHBM focuses on exploring the relationship between the combination of the two.Preventive behavior is the most influential factor on travel behavior in the model,with a direct impact of0.348.On the basis of independent models,HBM-P model focuses on exploring the influence of preventive behavior attitude and preventive behavior on travel behavior,and the total effectiveness on travel behavior is 0.227 and 0.342 respectively.(3)Under the background of COVID-19 ’s normalization of epidemic situation,from the point of view of health belief model and planned behavior theory,this paper puts forward some policy suggestions to improve college students’ leisure travel level: for example,improve the perception of infection risk,the media should strengthen the publicity of prevention and control measures and knowledge;correctly treat the perception of behavioral benefits to prevent the psychological problems of college students due to the epidemic;correctly treat the vaccine policy,maintain social distance and other prevention and control measures.
