With the improvement of urban motorization level in our country, the emergence of issues such as traffic congestion and uncontrolled urban expansion has provided an opportunity for the development of Transit-Oriented Development(TOD),which is a public transportation-oriented development model.Pedestrian-friendly and humanized design is one of the three principles of the TOD model, and it plays a crucial role in improving the share of public transportation trips. However, currently, the connection between station and walking lacks the concept of pedestrian priority, such as the lack of street crossing facilities, narrow sidewalk width and other problems. Therefore, this article conducts an evaluation study on the integration of rail stations and pedestrian access in the TOD model, further refining the indicator system and addressing the limitations of the commonly used weighted average method.Subsequently, improvement recommendations are proposed based on the evaluation results.First of all, this paper analyzes the current situation and existing problems of TOD station and walking connection. On this basis, literature analysis and questionnaire survey are combined to construct an evaluation index system. Then, after GIS technology is applied to collect the original data of indicators,AHP method and CRITIC method are combined to get constant weight and weight. Then, variable weight and weight of different evaluation objects are obtained by combining variable weight theory, and a matter-element extension evaluation model based on variable weight theory is built. Finally, taking four track stations with TOD characteristics as examples, the above evaluation model is used to evaluate the status quo of the connection between station and walking, and the parts in need of improvement are obtained, including three-dimensional street crossing facilities, sidewalk width, weather corridor construction, etc.Based on the analysis of the evaluation results, the paper puts forward some practical suggestions for improving the three-dimensional street crossing facilities and ensuring the effective sidewalk width.Through this research, the following research results are obtained:(1)A set of walking connection evaluation index system was established, which took safety, convenience, comfort and continuity as the first-level index and included 13 quantitative second-level indicators.(2)A weighting method combining AHP method,CRITIC method and variable weight theory is determined, and a matter-element extension model of TOD station and walking connection evaluation model based on variable weight theory is established.(3)The evaluation model is applied in several instances to verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the evaluation model constructed in this paper.
