| As a national historical and cultural city,Wuwei faces both opportunities and challenges in the protection and development of the ancient city against the backdrop of rapid urbanization and fragile ecological environment.Under the current land space planning system,in order to better protect and inherit the urban and rural historical Cultural resource management as a whole,it is necessary to build a complete urban historical and cultural heritage system at the regional level.Under the theory of urban context,Historical geography and urban image analysis methods are used to sort out the elements of urban context space in Wuwei in the historical period, study its characteristics of evolution in time and space, summarize the value characteristics of urban context space, and propose corresponding strategies for the protection and inheritance of urban context space. The study first recognizes the historical and geographical foundation of the Wuwei region, draws on Broedel’s historical perspective to divide it into "cultural slices" from the evolution of urban patterns, historical information remains, and other aspects, and then divides the Han to Qing periods into six periods.Secondly, identify regional imagery elements from historical information for each time period, interpret the spatial composition of the city from the five elements of the city center, landmark nodes, axis corridors, city boundaries, and natural base, and then extract the spatial context elements of this period. Then, through the methods of nuclear density, spatial autocorrelation,Buffer analysis and other quantitative analysis methods, the evolution characteristics of urban spatial morphology are analyzed, and the impact mechanism of natural environmental factors and social and cultural factors on it is qualitatively discussed. Finally, guided by current issues and value recognition, summarize the value characteristics of the urban context space and propose a comprehensive protection and inheritance strategy of "points, lines, and areas".The research conclusion is as follows:(1)Analyze the spatial elements of the context of Wuwei city and classify them into point, line, and area elements. The surface elements are important city sites and the composition of mountain and water environments in different periods; The line elements include the Great Wall defense system, the Silk Road system, etc; There are a total of 407 point elements including cultural relics protection units and unclassified cultural relics.(2)The diachronic characteristics of the urban context space that dynamically changes with the ecological environment. The evolution of the urban pattern in Wuwei City is characterized by periodic fluctuations according to the number of towns under its jurisdiction. The urban pattern is based on the ancient Silk Road and Shiyang River, with Liangzhou as the center, showing a "⊥" shape; The evolution of the military defense system pattern, according to the change of the ecological environment of the defense object space, its Defensible space theory is shrinking and gathering along the Great Wall; The evolution and distribution of cultural elements are synchronized with changes in the natural ecological environment; The spatial form of the ancient city of Liangzhou changes according to its urban function, shifting from military to meeting political and cultural needs, and then to meeting military and economic and social functional needs.(3)The Synchronicity characteristics of the urban context space influenced by the natural and human factors.During the Han Dynasty, the creation and formation of cultural space, the formation and development of the central space of Hexi, laid the material structure foundation of cultural space and the urban landscape pattern;During the Wei and Jin dynasties, the cultural space continued to develop, with the construction of the national capital Guzang City and the emergence of religious spaces along the Silk Road;During the Sui and Tang dynasties, the cultural space flourished and Liangzhou established a "seven city" spatial pattern and a circular defense system centered around Liangzhou City;In the Song and Yuan Dynasties, the cultural space changed from prosperity to decline, and the Buddhist holy land space of "Dvipa" was established;During the Ming Dynasty, the function of cultural and spatial elements contracted, with military as the main focus, and the defense pattern that connected the east and west and isolated the north and south was rebuilt;During the Qing Dynasty, the cultural space developed steadily, with functions ranging from single to diverse, creating a humanistic urban environment.(4)Exploring the uniqueness of urban and rural cultural development from a holistic perspective, and proposing the value characteristics of "five aspects and twelve themes".By evaluating the overall value of the cultural heritage space,a framework of "one city, three belts, four districts, and multiple points" will be constructed for the protection of cultural heritage in Wuwei city, connecting various historical and cultural heritages in a hierarchical and classified manner.According to the spatial planning of the national territory,it is divided into three functional areas: agriculture, ecology, and urban areas, and scientific and reasonable protection and inheritance strategies are proposed according to local conditions.Based on the theory of context,a complete spatiotemporal understanding system of historical and cultural heritage is constructed at the city level from a planning perspective, providing certain reference for the overall protection and development of historical and cultural cities along the Silk Road and the protection and management of heritage in national spatial planning. |
