Research On The Value Evaluation And Protection Strategy Of The Context Space Of The Bakuo Historical District In Lhasa

Historical neighborhoods contain rich cultural heritage,and their formation and development process reflect a period of rapid social and cultural development.The protection of historical neighborhoods has always been a key and difficult point in China.Against the background of cultural confidence,it has added strong impetus to the protection of historical neighborhoods,and also brought unprecedented development opportunities to the protection of urban cultural space and the continuation of urban context.The historical resources within the Ba Kuo Historical District are concentrated,which is the crystallization of Tibetan art and culture.It is a symbol of the mutual integration of Chinese culture and an important witness to the integration of Han Tibetan ethnic culture in urban spatial forms.It showcases the symbiotic relationship between Tibet’s region and heritage,and better reflects the core values of the cultural atmosphere and cultural space in the Western Tibet region.In the western development and aid to Tibet policies of China,the historical district of Ba Kuo has also ushered in better development prospects.At the same time,the recognition of the value of the cultural and spatial context of the district,as well as the protection and development,have become a difficult and urgent issue.Therefore,the paper takes the value evaluation of the contextual space as the starting point,identifies the contextual spaces at different levels of the block,and analyzes their characteristics and values,in order to extract their value hierarchy and connotation,and excavate the core value of the contextual space of the eight historical blocks.Using GIS technology to construct a context spatial information database and a context spatial value evaluation system for the historical district of Baguo,and conducting targeted research on the protection strategies of Baguo Street in Lhasa.The main content of the paper includes the following four parts:The first part is the analysis of the spatial characteristics and connotations of the cultural context of Lhasa’s Eight Outlets Historical Block.Sort out the historical development stages of Lhasa’s Bakuo Historical Block,focusing on analyzing the contextual spatial elements of Lhasa’s Bakuo Historical Block from two aspects: political environment,society,economy,and spatial evolution mode,improving the spatial association rules between its contextual space and the factors existing in the historical development stage,and then selecting to extract the corresponding elements that affect the contextual space,and recognizing the characteristics of the contextual space of Lhasa’s Bakuo Historical Block.The second part is about the condensed value of the cultural and spatial elements of Lhasa’s Eight Outlets Historical Block.Citing systems theory,urban morphology,architectural typology,and environmental behavior,environmental psychology,and related basic concepts and methods,this paper discusses the spatial layout of the cultural context of Lhasa’s Eight Outlets historical block from three scales: architectural environmental elements,road and alley systems,and block and street plots.On the basis of macro,meso,and micro scales,the contextual spatial elements are identified and divided from the dimension of "point line surface",and the value of the contextual spatial elements from the three dimensions of "point line surface" is evaluated.The third part is the research on the evaluation of the spatial value of the cultural context of Lhasa’s eight koku historical district.Quantitative analysis,as the basis for the scientific use of mathematical and physical methods,such as Delphi analysis and AHP analysis,uses a combination of qualitative and quantitative analysis methods to establish an evaluation index system for the cultural and spatial value of historical blocks from three dimensions: "building environmental elements-road and alley systems-block and street boundary plots",and to determine the weights of each layer of indicators,Then score and analyze the indicators of each layer in the evaluation index system of historical blocks.Through the framework of context space value evaluation system,the spatial distribution law of context space elements is studied to further clarify the Law of value of its historical blocks.The fourth part is a study on the strategies for protecting the cultural and spatial context of Lhasa’s eight koku historical district.Based on the analysis of the evaluation results of Lhasa’s Bakuo Historical Block,different dimensions of evaluation conclusions are drawn,and the main problems in the protection and utilization of Lhasa’s Bakuo Historical Block are further summarized.Finally,based on the evaluation of the spatial value of the historical block in Bakuo Street,and combined with the actual situation of the historical block in Bakuo Street,targeted protection strategies are proposed for it.The paper establishes a spatial information database for the cultural context of the Lhasa Bakuo Historical Block by analyzing its spatial characteristics and extracting its core values.The value of the cultural context of the block is evaluated,and based on the evaluation results and the current situation of the block,strategies for protecting the cultural context of the Lhasa Bakuo Historical Block are proposed to guide the exchange and integration of Sino Tibetan culture and the sustainable development of the Lhasa Bakuo Historical Block,And provide certain reference and guidance for the protection of historical and cultural heritage along the "Silk Road" and other cities.
