Artistic Elements And Landscape Application Of Kizil Grottoes Fresco Painting

Promoting the traditional Chinese mural art is currently a hot topic in academic research,but the application of innovative mural forms to landscape research is rarely discussed.Firstly,through literature analysis and induction,the author studied the murals in Kizil Grottoes.Secondly,he summarized and extracted elements such as the unique composition form,colors,plants,and decorative patterns of the murals,combined with the knowledge and skills of landscape architecture,and finally designed a modern urban landscape work embodying the artistic style of Kizil murals,completing the innovative inheritance of traditional culture.The Kizil Grottoes in Baicheng County,Xinjiang,are the earliest excavated and westernmost gathering place for Buddhist mural art in China.Kizil Grottoes murals exhibit a unique artistic style in traditional Chinese murals.The uniqueness of murals is shown in: 1.Color.The extensive use of lapis lazuli blue pigments in murals has resulted in a strong contrast effect due to their high color lightness.2.Diamond shape.In rhombus paintings,contour lines vary widely,colors are arranged regularly,and various forms of rhombus decorative elements are widely used.3.Decoration.White dots,streamers,and water patterns are all over the murals,displaying the simplicity,symbolism,and decoration characteristics of the Kizil Grottoes murals in detail.4.Scenarios.The combination of plants,landscape environments,and Buddhist stories presents a landscape scene that is higher than nature.The murals in the Kizil Grottoes exhibit high artistic value.Modern urban gardens should be a space that combines art and function.The artistry of murals provides a reference for shaping the environment of gardens,and the emphasis on humanization provides a functional reference for gardens.By analyzing the existing problems of garden sites and combining the needs of garden users,this theis attempts to propose methods and means of garden art design guided by the aesthetics of Kizil Grottoes murals,providing new ideas for the cultural,artistic,and functional aspects of modern urban garden space design.
