| More and more Chinese construction companies are taking an active part in overseas construction projects, with General Secretary Xi Jinping’s the “Belt and Road Initiative” and various reform measures pushing forward Chinese enterprises to “Go global”.The Chinese companies are now increasingly with an occupation of the market, however, the complex international context and the instability of policies in the country projects situated also bring many risks to the implementation of projects.Identifying, assessing and responding to these risks has become an important issue for these construction enterprises. On the basis of the existing research results and experience, the thesis briefly sorts out the risk categories and characteristics of current international engineering projects by systematic analysis and comparative analysis, establishing a preliminary list.Through expert interviews and other methods, the author explores risk factors and relationship among them, and the logical relationship and mutual influence degree of each risk factor were analyzed by using Dematel method;and key risks were identified, with a preliminary risk evaluation index system.Using Likert Scale, the data was obtained by question survey, and the index system of risk assessment was evaluated by structural equation model,so as to determine the influence of various risk factors on international projects, with an aim of defining the weight of risk assessment indicators. The Lagos Light Rail(Blue Line)in Nigeria is used as a practical case to verify that although the project is in a high-risk range,it can still be implemented after taking relevant preventive measures. The relevant exploration provides a feasible idea and method for the assessment and response of risks in international engineering projects. |
